Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

Then Marvel should be happy they don't own Superman, MOS would've made their head explode. :lol

Oh please have you read the ultimates how dark is that and that is a marvel comic. Hank Pym beats his wife and then sends ants after her she is messing around with cap, black widow is the sabatour who kills hawkeyes family , thor is imprisoned for their murder and to top it off they try to implement capital pumishement on banner by nuking him. It was amazing read crap they should have made that version of Avengers.

I am just hoping these guys have the balls to do what marvel could never do have doomsday kill Superman

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

That wouldn't take balls. Superman doesn't even die. He goes into a krytonian healing coma or something. Heck he had a mini-one in Superman Returns. He can't be killed.

It's true. Though it's not really a coma. Because he's sleeping and doesn't have the sun, he turns into this:

It would take balls to kill Superman and then never make another film in that same continuity - because he's dead. It wouldn't take any sort of balls to make a film that shows him die and then come back to life - that happens all the time in fantasy-land. It would be nothing new. Not to say it shouldn't ever be done, I'd like to see a live-action telling of the Doomsday story, I'm just saying there wouldn't be anything ballsy about it and I could see it occurring in the Donnerverse as much as I could in this new MOSverse.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

I'm just kidding, but it would be incorrect to say he doesn't die. If that was the case then all of his stories would be boring since we know the outcome of the fight from the very start and Kryptonite is just nonsense.

OK but I'm proceeding from the assumption that dying/being dead is permanent as it is in real life. Fantasy fiction talks about death all the time but its pretty meaningless because it so often isn't permanent. Just as it isn't so for Superman.

I see what you mean. Makes no sense because they'll just bring him back anyways.

I think what he meant that they wouldnt even attempt it because theyre to scared to see how the audience would react. Like how parents reacted to Optimus dieing in the cartoon movie

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

Yeah, but I'm sure it'll be done at some point. Probably not right away since this incarnation of Superman has only 'begun' his existence. At least a film or two down the line.

JL 2 if we ever get there where all the other heroes are defeated and only Supes remains... If we get there

Batman vs. Superman (2016)

Its been a long time since I read the book/comic, what other JL members fight Doomsday?

I know Maxima and Booster Gold was there but according to Wikipedia (xD) the entire league lost lol

Opened up the pages of my Superman #75 and I found that.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

I recall Batman must have stayed clear, he turned up at Superman's funeral or something. He would have surely died.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

Stilll one of the best comic book story lines I think they were the first to do do and it created such a buzz and how they brought him back was equally as good as it kept us guessing which one was the real one.

Fire, Ice, Guy Gardner, the guy who Martian Manhunter was disguising himself as. Blue Beetle (Ted Kord) might have been there, though I don't recall seeing him. And Booster, as previously mentioned.

Batman was too much of a ***** to show up, I guess.

I remember back in the day those JLI comics were worth more than the other installations in the story, because the comics had smaller runs.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

I remember seeing a huge push for the Death of Superman issues, especially at stores. Then all those people that were buying into the hype, literally, thinking they'd actually be worth something.
