Yeah, I've been watching alot of your horror vids the last couple days. Actually just finished your "my name is Ron" video. :lol
I've avoided getting into horror figures, but I really think I want to find a VII, although, not the top of my list for the series, visually with the chain and all the rot, I just think he looks great. I also have zero experience modding, but he really looks like he'd be a fun one to mess with. I love watching how you've evolved your skills on your guys over the years, hope I can get one looking half way decent eventualty.

Thanks man!!! I appreciate you and everyone else who watches my vids and posts feedback. Sharing our collection and our work is a big part of this hobby and makes it even more satisfying.

So my need for a Jason in my collection was corrected today as my SSC FVJ Jason figure arrived today. :yess:

He is a beast and has a lot of presence and I love him. I will be weathering him tomorrow so I will get some pics on here when he is done.

So I have finished modding (well hopefully) my FVJ Jason figure and just like my Thomas Hewitt figure I really went to town with him. I really wanted him to be dirty and mucky looking and using black, grey, brown and flat earth I managed to get him looking like how I wanted him.

I gave his mask a black wash all over and then I used some brown paint around the rivets of his mask and down the sides as well to give him that mucky look (as if he came out of a swamp). I ripped his black T-shirt to look more movie accurate and I weathered that as well using brown, flat earth and some black and white mixed together. I also bought a blue T-shirt for him to wear underneath his black T-shirt (pain to get it on him) and I tore some of it up and I then used some black and white mixed together to make the T-shirt weathered.

I used a mixture of brown and flat earth for his pants and I bloodied up his Machete using a mix of some clear red and black and some UHU glue. Anyways here he is -

What I received (The jacket was a pain to get back on) -

And here he is as he stands now -

(And with other Jason figures in my collection) -

Anyhow he is a great figure to have and with a little bit of work he looks wonderful especially as he is now an older figure and he will represent Jason at 1/6 scale in my collection brilliantly. :yess:

Oh and a big thanks goes to joebizz34 for inspiring me to mod these horror figures.

I've been working on my part 8 hock for the time being until the clothes come in , I wasn't happy with the eye shape so i filled them completely in and the re-drilled them to a shape i felt was closer to the look . I did multiple layers of washes and weathering and i'm pretty happy with how it came out , now onto the rest lol

much better. the figure itself is pretty good from sideshow but the mask was way to clean. great job on weathering it. Also remove the bloody hair, its terrible LOL add some new hair and make it look 100 times better :p

continued...

(Mid mod, I later went on and dulled down some of the weathering) -

FvJ is not a Jason I'm real familiar with, but I gotta say, just from a general observation, you're weathering made the mask look way better. Good work Sidious :clap

Thanks pal.

To be honest the hair doesn't really bother me that much and for the moment it stays.

Cheers mate. I really appreciate your comments.

Excellent job on all of them. I'm currently working on my first Jason. Hope to have pics soon.

Post the pics when you are ready my friend.

Finally I can contribute to this thread as well. :)
After a couple of months of work, I finally finished my Part III Jason yesterday, and I'm really happy with the way he came out. :)
The only thing that bothers me a bit are the pants, I would still like to get some lighter grey ones, but no luck so far. Trying to bleach the pants didn't work, and I didn't want to risk doing it a second time. The legs of the DAM body are also a bit awkward to pose and don't look perfect, but I'll leave those as is for the time being.
I also still want to make a real metal machete, although that's still a ways off. And I'd like an axe for alternate posing options, but I haven't found a right one, yet. If anybody has suggestions, I would appreciate it.

Here's the full recipe:

Sculpt and mask: Betomatali
Chevrons: 8-bit commando (thanks a lot for supplying these)
Straps and rivets on mask: self-made with faux leather (adjustable) and nailheads
Body: DAM toys tall, with more muscles sculpted on the arms and calves with milliput, and padded out at chest, stomach, shoulders, back, and upper thighs
Hands: SS Part III Jason (thanks to EVILFACE for these)
Shirt: "Soldier Airman" clothing set, from ebay; nailhead buttons added on the outside, and magnets added inside for opening and closing
Pants: Wild Toys gray chino pants, bleached slightly
White vest: MC Toys white vest, but and restitched in the back
Boots: DID black combat boots, from ebay
Machete: SS Part VI Jason
Paint and weathering: all by myself (thanks to Seb for tips on how to paint the sculpt)

On to the pictures. :)
