Hey guys, I thought anyone on this thread would be interested in my latest piece of university work. We had to create a skeleton using reductive sculpting/ carving, so I had to create a Tyrannosaurus Rex. I made him in 1/20 scale, so is roughty 2 foot long.
Hope you enjoy it

I'd take one if you make copies!

Blade of the Moon-
Yep, that's it!

Yours looks great! Did you build and paint yourself ?

Congrats :clap

Thanks !

Nah I had a friend of mine, Martin Garratt from the U.K. build and paint it up for me..does fantastic work and this guy took a LOT of it. He had to saw and carve a lot to get it right. Our theory was this was taken from one of the latex pieces actually used in the film .

If you have a FB account I have progress pics here : https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.3556292742543.229340.1129456954&type=3

Martin is actually working on a JP Compy for me right now.

Thanks for the link...
loved the photos :wave

He did a great job, I especially like the way the eyes came out :clap

You have a perfect JP display :bow

That looks great! Looks like an official company product! :clap

I'd take one if you make copies!

Thanks guys, I am currently trying to figure out how I would go about casting this one so may become available if people are interested. If casting this one doesn't work out, I may create another, more scientifically correct and with the intent of casting it :D

Anyone own or know anything regarding Black Heart's 'Stan' T. Rex head sculpt resin model? Seen a pic in PT & looks quite good. Any input would be appreciated.:wave

Jeremy has one and it looks great. It's based on the Rex skull " Stan ". I fully intend to order one myself at some point. :)

Jeremy's :

Thanks Blade. WOW, what a sculpt & paint apps! Truly a fantastic looking piece. Are these limited edition, or do we have some time before ordering? Don't want to miss out on this one, but just can't order right away.

thanks again Blade.:wave

We are taking donations, our Park here is donation only for kids of all ages, we don't charge an admission price as we want everyone to be able to experience life size dinosaurs. :)

Stunning! These look fantastic...it's so neat to see good dinosaur statues being made.

Not life-sized, but a pleasant 1/6 discovery at ToysRus...
A decent sculpt with a lot of potential for mischief...PS

Here is my Velociraptor bust. Height : 19.5"
Not a lifesize but still a big size dinosaur (between 1/3 and 1/2 I think). It has an amber drop with a mosquito in it with a led hide in the stand.
