Re: Christopher Reeve Superman PF

The first preview pic of the GL bust had people complaining. It looked better in the rest of the photos and especially at the comic con pics/videos.

Did it?? Seems like people did not stop complaining until it was shown that is had a kick *** light up feature... I thought the final product turned out the same as the preview.... But perhaps I am not remembering the preview.

Keep the es low and watch them be jelly when they miss out and pay $800+ on ebay.

:lol:lol:lol:lol Low ES... That's a good one Rage....

Lol, all the negativity this is garnering...there's no doubt the ES will prolly be really low. Sideshow's definitely surveying the **** out of this thread and others. You know it's not going good when the actual sculptor has to step in and say something. Although, I love the classic Superman movies of the 80's, I never planned on buying this from the get-go. The comic PF that's coming is the only definitive Superman I want to represent every piece and picture of Superman media that I grew up with.

Happy for all the dudes who are gonna pick this up. I truly hope it's just a bad initial pic, and comes out looking great via the full reveal.

Re: Christopher Reeve Superman PF

From the shots here the proportions between the head and body are off: the head is to large, and the neck to long given the size of the arms and hands, and that has NOTHNG to do with how big CR was.

Stop pooping on BCCs parade.:lecture

Re: Christopher Reeve Superman PF

The sculptor statement was almost a laughable piece of damage control on Sideshow's part. "But C'mon guys, the sculptor loves Superman! Can't you feel the passion in this product?"

That pretty much sums it up.

Re: Christopher Reeve Superman PF

maybe the product will look better once it is fully shown but I'm a little skeptical at this point.

Re: Christopher Reeve Superman PF

Isn't it just a transcript of what he said in his feature vid that was put out like a month ago?

NOPE here is Matt's, the sculptors, post from over at SF

the sculptors at sideshow do not determine the final pose, or composition of the statue. we simply fulfill the intent of the design department, and the will of the creative director. regardless, i feel like while this may not be a screen cap of Christopher REEVE (not reeves), i feel its a fantastic representation of a moment in time, that could have taken place as the dam was crumbling around him. perhaps he was pausing to contemplate his next actions. i hope you can all enjoy it as much as i have in making it. and to all the others, you simply do not have to make the purchase. no harm no foul.
