well just checked mine and it as a very bad crack started on the bottom right leg. not happy the money you pay should not happen.

Was it possibly there all along, or did it develop recently?

Jeez, just when I start to relax about this issue someone reports a problem. I'm thinking more and more about selling my Ex while I can and go back to owning the SSW RWOS.

I worry about the load on my left leg because the right one is about 3/16 off the base

Same here. The right peg is partially in the hole, but the hoof itself is not in contact with the base.

You too? This really does suck, this was probably my most anticipated piece - LOTR or otherwise. I think when my Sauron PF arrives in April, the DR is gonna get boxed up to sell.

I agree it totally sucks! I had a pick of it on my wall for months before it came out and couldn't wait to get it! While I still love the looks of it I'm worried that with the slight lean there all going to crack eventually.

As someone whom would not mind adding one of these to the collection, at this point, I am afraid of anyone selling it is because of the crack.

Damn these are still having issues? I cant see any cracks in mine yet but im noticing the right leg isn't sitting flush against the base any more. Like someone else commented its still partially in the hole but not touching the base. Ive only had this since September last year

This is kind of annoying and will continue to happen as time goes on I think.
Bad engineering I guess, and at that price tag....
I'm resolved to the fact that I'll have to fix it if/when this happens to mine.

Sounds like we need to get back on SS about this. For some reason my "ask SS" thread I can't post in to bump it and try to get some answers, don't know if they locked it or what. With this many having trouble they should be doing something about it.

I dont want to pay $800 for a statue that will only need repairing eventually just from being on display

Sounds like we need to get back on SS about this. For some reason my "ask SS" thread I can't post in to bump it and try to get some answers, don't know if they locked it or what. With this many having trouble they should be doing something about it.

I agree! We need to start making a lot of noise about this. It's obviously a design/engineering flaw that sideshow should be addressing.We all paid way to much for this piece for this to be happening!

What sideshow can do about this? Replace the horse? It won't happen.

They should if enough of them are defective. It would be a big hit for them financially no doubt. But maybe not as big as having 1500+ pissed off customers with defective $800+ statues spewing there anti Sideshow venom all over the internet!

Replacement won't help, they will just do the same thing probably. A recall type fix needs done so it does not fail in the future either.
