What's the quality like of the knockoffs?

It varies. Basically not too bad at all. The main issue I noticed is a little pain rub. It initially happens upon opening the package, but stops if you just let it sit out in the open for a while. It's almost like you have to let the paint dry or something. The other thing I noticed is the flexibility of the bandanas. Some are soft, some are not. I've gotten both with the ko's. Lastly, I hear about the an arch in the feet on th ko. To tell you the truth, I barely notice ths at all on mine. Plus if there is, it's so minor, it really doesn't matter at all. I do have a set of the originals, and I can honestly tell you, buy the ko's. They aren't that different at all. In fact, one of my ko's looks, feels, and basically is the same exact thing as the original. If I were to mix them up, I wouldn't be able to tell them apart. Have in mind. Although there might be ko's all over the place, it was still made from the same mold, with the same plastic, probably in the same factorys by the same people who made the Neca's.
Hope this helps.

Reports from toy fair indicate that the original Turtle Blimp will actually be reissued! I knew they would do it eventually. That is awesome. No mentions thus far of the Classics line or the Movie line.

Nice to hear. I normally hate the thought of buying anything that is a knock off (just a principle is all). But, the prices on the originals might push me in that direction. Even more tempting hearing that the quality is pretty much the same.

WTF??? Are they trying to save some money or something??! How is it possible that the old movie figures from 24 years ago have more texture than these new figures? Look at those shiny plastic heads!!! LOOK AT THEM!!!

Now I know people are gonna flip out. But I wasnt expecting Hot toys quality. I mean they look alright and these are just prototypes. Im sure they will add more texture down the road.

I'm flipping out, man!! I'M FLIPPING OUT!!! :lol I wasn't expecting HT either, but I was expecting 1992 quality at least :lol

Not digging the 1990 movie figures. Correct me if I'm wrong but aside from the heads, the bodies appear to be the exact same as the classics figures. Also, they don't have enough detail. Kinda plain and boring looking.

Leo's expression looks like he just **** in his shell. They don't remind me of the movie very much.
