you need the slightly shorter one for tuco.

after all things done a while ago abd on production stage.
debate this issue is not worth. mike

again. it will not better than the current one for sure

Thanks, this is like if three guys when into mc donalds ad try to make them change the flavour of the cheese on ALL burgers because they dont like it. Its even more aparent in the "memento-thread".

Thanks for chiming in Denny. This set is beautiful as is but I was just pointing out a detail that I and others felt could've been an nice improvement. I just wanted to see these be the best that they can be. I understand it's too late in the game to consider this. I blame myself because this is something that I should've mentioned a long time ago. It's too bad that it too late but of course I'll be ordering Angel Eyes and Tuco either way

if you look at the above posts and go back and note the time and date of each...

Yes from that POV I see what you meant and you are right. I think what we were saying was you didn't chime in during the last 10 days of talk. It's no matter anymore anyway

Its even more aparent in the "memento-thread".

Is that right? Just a lil' FYI, the guys who sit back and keep their thoughts to themselves don't inspire artists/companies to produce the best possible offering; the guys who speak up do

Quite true. I can personally say that after years of being a part of this community, many of the figures you all own have been modified for the better as a direct result of people like me not being afraid to give feedback. I always try to do so respectfully, but at times you have to make a little noise. The squeaky wheel gets the attention and the artists with the right additide rise above.

Look at how far iminime came in a year. In my opinion they have a chance at being THE LEADER in 1/6 figures. A lot of it came from the frustration of Denny at the vocal complaints but he is a true professional with a great additide and passion and took that feedback as a motivator and look how well it payed off.

So from those of us who are doing the motivating, YOU'RE WELCOME!

To those artists who strive for excellence and put up with the crap that goes along to make these great replicas we are way too obsessed about a sincere and heartfelt THANK YOU!

The idea of putting Tuco on a slim body is totally ridiculous

What would make you think that? He would of course need a fat suit in addition (a similar design to the DID Patton or Churchill [but smaller] would do the trick), but what's a better choice of base body to achieve the height?

There aren't any more of those fat suits on the Bay right now but look at Churchill's finished physique:

And look at the base body he's on:

The same application could've been used on Tuco. I understand that it's too late for that so that's not why I'm posting this. Just saying that the Slim + fat suit would've worked

Trust me Mike, I know it won't ! Not dogging you for suggesting it in the slightest because it's logical given that it's a bit shorter, but it did make me cringe a bit but that's only because I've been working with that body for years and padding up all sorts of ways, Frankensteining it with other parts, trying it on all sorts of characters. Bottom line it won't work unless you're dealing with a really lanky character like Luke Skywalker, Joseph Gordon levitt or the like. When it's right it's the best option by far but when it's wrong it's totally wrong. Since Tuco is super stalky and a bit overweight or wouldn't work well.

There's easier ways to shorten bodies than to use one that's the wrong build entirely. I didn't get Denny's Tuco but I might as well experiment with my Rainman one because I agree it might be better if all scale was accurate. I can share my method once complete.

EDIT:

I had a thought, enterbays Scarface body should be perfect! Shorter, stalkier but not too skinny but very "average guy" in build. With the padded belly it should be perfect. The issue is the attached neck but I've worked around that before.

Although I know this sort of option wouldn't be a solution for Denny to use right off the get-go, it might be an option for those obsessed to make it perfect. It's not too expensive a body on the secondary market.

Not at all man, you know I fully support you on your quest for accuracy with these things! I really wish hot toys gave smart add ons with their body types. But now they give nothing! Not even a generic head and they charge double to what they did 3 years ago. Highway robbery.

Those fat thigh add ons are ridiculous too. I've used them maybe twice I have a bin of like fifty of them. Both times I used them I shaved them down like crazy and padded the *** with cotton to compinsate and they still looked weird!

In fact I don't know why another company has not clue into this, not that it's inexpensive to eingieer something like this but surely if people will pay hot toys 60 bucks for a base body the knock off guys who charge 30 and are pretty decent quality can add parts and charge 50, and I gaurontee true types will warm pegs.

They should include shorter slimmer versions of calves and forearms that are interchangeable that come off at the knees and elbows like hot toys do, Interchangeable chest peices that have a neck and no neck, and various sized pectorals, and shorter and longer ankle pegs. to me this is a very simple thing to eingineer subtle but totally satisfying height differences and different builds.

Is it easier to make Blondie and Angel Eyes a little taller than it is to make Tuco shorter?

Heightening is tricky....

I gave my Clint long pegs anyways just because as mentioned he's a tall guy and should have extra height, however now the pants ride too high I find myself constantly tugging at them

Exactly what I meant. You could throw long pegs on but that would make the pants high-waters and the knees would bend in an unnatural spot

Heightening of a figure is better achieved with a mod at the torso piece. Long footpegs work occasionally but more often than not they just throw the proportions all out of sync and make the figure look odd. Especially when you have a figure such as the cowboy with slim fitting jeans and a shirt.

So if you were to modify a body to make Tuco shorter, then the clothing would be too long. How do you get around that? I like the body that my RM Tuco is on, but can't imagine the new clothing set will come close to fitting.

Depends. With some careful futzing, you can make a fairly convincing "break" in the pants, but the difference would have to be quite small.

Not sure it can be realistically done with this.

lol they nailed the clint sculpts but these are both pretty bad. will stick to my rainman ones.
