Yep, HT Luke was getting tired of playing with himself, now he has a big black hand to help him out.

Seriously, ordered the EX from SSC, used reward points. Just waited to see what some of you guys had to say first. I always wanted a figure like this since I was a kid, a Vader with removable helmet, even bought the 1/6 Medicom version with the shrunken "Beetlegeuse" head. Based on the pics here, this figure is worth every bit of 250 IMO and getting it from SSC made sense -- I get the severed hand plus SSC is the best and closest source for replacement parts (while they last).

GGAAAHHH!!!! I just inspected mine closer and I have very similar marks on my dome that appear to have been painted over by the gloss back paint. They only seem to be noticeable under certain lighting conditions and viewing angles.

I got mine on 14th Jan, so I'm assuming it's not too late to request a replacement?

Who has received a replacement dome/helmet from Sideshow due to scratches etc?

Does Sideshow just ship the replacement head in a box or wrapped in bubble wrap etc? How do they prevent the tusks from being broken for the replacement dome/helmet?

My current helmet is fine except for scratches down the centre column part of the forehead. I would hate to get a replacement, and then get broken tusks etc......

I quickly eyeballed it when I opened it today and I'd say its around 5 or 6 inches and maybe half an inch tall.

I got a replacement head this Monday. The head was heavily wrapped in green bubble wrap, with additional paper to pad and fill out the box, very carefully packaged. My replacement head is in perfect condition tusks and all.

I'm thinking a ton of forethought has gone into his assembly and packaging (just given the amount of time they've been working on getting that character ready for mass production). His cape should be less problematic, too, I'm hoping, since like Cobra Commander's, it's sewn. You never know, but I'm hoping Grievous will have less problems than Vader.
