Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Thanks I appreciate all the kind words fellas!

@Messi, to tell the truth i haven't really noticed since I have him displayed on the top of my "DC" detolf, so I haven't been bothered by the size. When i posed him next to the Christopher Reeve and Spidey all the figures were in a midair pose. I'll take some quick comparison shots for you today when I get home from work to compare the size difference. I think it all really depends on how you pose him and where you put him. For me, even though I didn't like the movie too much, it's still a great looking figure and couldn't pass it up.

Thank you Gambit, much appreciated ad thanks for the reply! I really do like the asm look so ive been toying around with picking him up for a while now, but i also dont want him to stick out like a sore thumb if he's too small either. I guess i didnt really think about buying another levitation stand and having him in a dynamic pose of sorts. Does he come with a web hanging hand like raimi's spiderman did? maybe that's how I can stretch him to make him less smaller right? I was thinking one arm straight up in the air grabbing a web. Look foward to any pics you can take later today!

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Looks great. I've very impressed with how the cape drapes him. I almost always prefer wired capes but I think I will like this one. And look at his build.. like he should be playing for the Seahawks or something!

We could've used him on the 49ers to stop Marshawn Lynch :monkey2

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Great pic. It looks *really* good. Do you mind me asking where you got the background image? I'd like to give that a shot.
I'd only recommend trying to match the lighting if possible. Like in the background, the sun will be up and to the right, based on the light showing on the moon.
If you could have used a bright light on Supes coming from that direction, the image would be flawless!

Thanks Barry! I deleted the pic from my computer, but all I did was google "earth and space" and I searched for "large size pictures"

I would love to see your work, it will most likely be better than mine and I would love to use it as my computer wallpaper so please email me the finished copy :)

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Received the figure last night. Had a good chuckle when I first opened the box.
Normally, you have a huge box and in there with lots of room on top and the bottom of the box, you're figure
is centered there with plenty of room. Opened the box, and he is almost as big as the box. :lol
Once he's in the shelf though, the size is not that bad.

Since I have mine with non DC characters, the size doesnt bother me much.
If he was in there with Batman though, I think it would cause he would tower the hell out of Batman.

The pros:
* Absolutely stunning figure.
* The suit is amazing! The material HT used is Excellent!
* The other thing is, even with my pics, almost every pic I see of it, it makes it look
like the blue is a little brighter, but in hand, it is actually very muted blue...the color looks
very much close to how it looked in the movie. Has a nice muted Dark Blue color to it.
* Excellent Likeness to Henry Cavill

The Cons:
* As great as the likeness to Cavill, kinda bugged me a bit though that the facial structure is off.
Henry had a very narrow face. The figure looked as if Henry packed on 20 lbs of mass.
Not fat, but its like if he would have put on more weight.
I think the custom Modern something something headsculpt, I forgot the name of it...anyway, it captured captured the facial shape better, but the likeness is definitely better with Hot Toys though.
* Height of course, but as I mentioned, as long as he's with non Nolan figures or if he's by himself, the height is
not bad.
* bulky cape around the neck. Can't wait to get Tony Meis' cape.

Overall though, the figure is gorgeous...Has a GREAT GREAT Presence in the shelf.

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Has anyone on flex gotten an early processing email for this?

I haven't. And my second payment was processed last week. So I only have 1 left, and they have not offered to process it now.

I got Jor El to ship today but they couldn't ship Superman. Said they are still waiting on more to come in. Split shipment it sounds like. Said maybe next week.

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

That's a great pose Remy, great use of his relaxed palms :clap and i definitely agree about the bulky cape around his neck, i didnt think it would look as bulky once i got him inhand but anywhich may i look at it whether frontal view or profile it looks like there's a red hood resting on his shoulders to me

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Mine came in the mail yesterday. Needless to say I am very pleased with how this figure came out. At first I was a bit skeptical and did not order him because the prototype looked too bulky :/... but after seeing the updated version I decided to order him with my promo code points and got him for $103. I think I might like him better than Bats xD, the musculature with some nice lighting looks awesome! :blissy

Nice pic man.

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

What an awesome figure. My only complaint is the cape. It's not terrible but I wish it was flatter on the shoulder area. Waiting to receive Tony Meis cape which will improve that.

The base it also huge but the flight stand is perfect for this figure. Just wish we got an alternative black stand that could hold the flight pole so we don't need to rely on the huge S stand just to use it.
