:yess: Woke up this morning to see a big box in the living room waiting for me. My buddy (driver) must have dropped it off first cause he knew I was waiting for this guy.

It'd be even funnier if you were a driver delivering it to yourself.

Why did they make the sabre blade so friggen horrible? That's my only real gripe (which is a good sign). The old style tapered blade looks a lot nicer, I swapped over my ANH version and it looks complete now. The movie blades were tapered and narrow as well?

:dunno

Those blinking lights on his chest make me happy.
So impressed with the cape as well, no need for a custom on this, looks very nice, well done SS.

I feel the same about the blade. Got my ANH saber out and looks much more dynamic. Cape is really nice too, agreed

The only that sucks about getting this Vader is that it feels like I am getting after the party has already ended. :lol

Man, I wish I could afford this! I hope I can get it sometime down the line before SSC sells out of him. :(

Same here. I've got my yearly budget tied up with other things higher on the priority list (Hoth stuff). It's hard for me to justify a second Vader when I already have the ANH version, no matter how much better it is.

After a few years of buying just a couple figures a year, suddenly there's a whole glut of stuff I want! 2014 is turning out to be a SW-heavy year for me!

You can have the best Vader by going in on only a select few parts. Take a look at what Lopie is doing in the Vader mod thread.

And every plastic blade is going to look horrible next to a CCFL lit blade. NEXT! ;)

Nah, not really a fan. They look great in certain set-ups, but can be a little messy looking and can be overpowering in a bigger display.
I prefer a simple plastic one for long term display, and SS had it perfect with their older style tapered blades IMO.

Is it difficult to swap out the blades?

Got mine in Ireland today. It was ordered on the first day he went up. No QC issues other than the reveal head not being straight in the mask. I really don't like the saber blade but I'll just borrow my ANH blade from my old Vader. I also would have really liked Sith eyes but as Nathan says higher powers decided against it. Still a great fig though.

I considered that. But part of me is hopeful I'll end up with this Vader in the long run. And what's better than one Vader? Two Vaders! :bunnydanc

I'm loving all the mods by everyone, by the way. Great stuff! Curious to see how yours turns out as well, PP.

Just got Vader. Did the full tear down and rebuild.
I have a feeling the tailor or assembly plant reversed the pants of the jumper. If you put the suit on backwards the crotch area fits much better.
Unfortunately then you are left with the velcro. :(

Suit on correct.

Seems like a little well placed tissue or cotton on the inner thighs will also solve the 'bunch' problem.
