Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Aren't there pics of it in Ski's thread? I recall already seeing it.

Yes, Here's the pic posted on 12-21, but I asked for him to make the beard a smidge darker and a tiny bit higher up on the cheeks. Haven't had an update since then. Maybe the beard was a real pain in the ***, lol.

Hope you don't mind if I steal that epic pose. :clap I would love to have the figure posed with his arms folded, but it doesn't look like the suit or elbow joint will allow for that. That would have been bad@ss.

I've been jumping at every email I receive today waiting for SS to send a tracking number. It's pretty bad. :lol

Go for it!!

You too..:lol

I'm waiting for my second and remember Ryno got the pose of the cape down by connecting the cape to something.

I'm sure he'll tell us

I used magic

And i meant to ask. Is this a custom made shirt?
It looks a lot like the Barney Ross blue shirt.

It's a Barney Ross shirt that I bleached and used Rit color remover on. I had to paint the collar with ivory paint though, as that fabric wouldn't bleach.

Uh oh man, ming the merciless profile and Indiana Jones beard, hopefully that's not your finished sculpt man, hope it wasn't expensive :(

Cavill has dark brown almost medium brown eyebrows not black :lecture

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Nice work!

I can definitely see Hot Toys doing a black suit variant as a Toy Fair Summer Exclusive at some point :D

yeah i think your right about hot toys doing the exclusive thing ,and thanks for the kind remarks ,i only threw this together due to Barrys generous donation of the head sculpts and the desire to use up some jorel parts i bought in haste when i thought supes wouldn't show until march or april lol , i figure i can always swap him out for a nonarmoured zod somewhere down the line

honestly i think the problem ,if any ,is more to do with the expression of the sculpt ,if i remember correctly supes is slightly off guard and mainly has a look and demeanor of wonder and quizzical interest ,other than when he performs lazer surgery on lois ,and this sculpt suggests ,to me at least one of steely determination, this sculpt is beautifully painted ,but perhaps due to the expression better suited to other scenes in the film

Maybe I'll have him paint some red and popped out veins around his eyes as if the heat vision is going away, right before he sorta shakes his head.

:goodpost: You might be right but Ryno I owe you an apology man I just found these online

Should call him Cavill the chameleon, Wow his nose even seems different as superman. I guess he did sport the Indy beard. I think LIBBYDOG hit it that his expression is off

I think the TTM=20 will definitely work for his shoulders:lecture

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

He has a butt nose for sure. BTW.. Ski is gonna add this (the eyes themselves will still be blue though) It'll be as if he's just turned off the heat vision, his eyes restored, but the strain still wearing off, if that makes sense. Basically this with normal eyes. Thank you, guyver, for the inadvertent suggestion, lol.

Wow I would like to see it, but that was one thing I thought I didn't get with Snyder's take on this. What's with the Twilight veins popping around his eyes when he used his heat vision.

Probably an effect to show that an incredible amount of energy is being drawn toward his eyes to even conjure the heat vision. Which is why he always has to recover from using it when he does.
