And the flooding of DX12s on several Buy and Sell forums have started. And Fiend might be right, I happen to see a few Toys Legend armories being sold at below SRP. Might be a good deal for those with Alfred and Bruce kitbashes and are happy with them.

I was about to order custom faceplates and empty cowl for my DX12 a couple of weeks ago. Glad I didn't as this set comes with them already

Isn't it nice to have your faith restored that HT and SSC can still suprise us with "good deals"? Exactly how I felt when the prices first came out here at our local stores.

They do it once then they jack up the prices of the next pieces once they have you hooked.

Happened with MoS. Every other regular figure after Kal was more expensive.

Funny though, the aftermarket is the exact reverse as that. Some resellers are selling Jor El for below retail, which I don't see happening with MoS Superman.

Thanks. I thought the serious face looked like the 1/4 scale one, though I thought maybe HT had the sense to just do what RobbiethePainter did, and take the mouth out of the Wayne head. This gives the Batman himself some extra appeal IMO.

No problem. I think the new face plates are the main thing a lot of people are after, as the dx12 ones kind of suck. I have Kai's custom face plate and it looks awesome but I was still excited to get these too if I decided not to go for the set. It does kind of feel like what the dx12 should have been.

I'd actually say this set is way better than the dx12, purely based on all the little accessories you get with the belt etc, the four improved face plates, just an all around better package. And then the armoury thrown in too is like the icing on the cake.

My set up will be, 1batman on the pod, 1 batman on the dx12 stand and...
I need another batman body to put into that armory =/
I really hope toys legend sell they recast batman suit alone

Most of us were hoping for $600...

DX12 was like $250. So that combined with an armory would surely be around $350. Add about $250 for two more figures, you got a fair $600ish price.

I wonder how many members on this forum actually work for Sideshow? It would be good to have members make declarations of interest. I've become very cynical about comments and hype before and immediately after the launch of a product.
Just be real....$600 to $800, after adding on tax etc is a lot of money!

I was confused to. It's Bruce and Alfred and armory with batsuit that can be made into one Batman figure, making the set three figures. Personally I just wish they would have the armory with bat suit (not figure) and the two figures.

I'm based in the UK, and ordering from Sideshow at $625 plus $40-60 for shipping, will add up to almost $700, even before the dreaded customs and VAT. I've just seen an ebay seller (loontentoys) listing the full set for only £400, including free shipping. This works out at only $600, and he is prepared to mark it as low value, which would mean no VAT and customs fee. The only major problem is that the set will not be available until Oct 2014, which means if you pay now, you will not be protected by paypal if there is a problem come October.
What a shame?
I thought I was onto a good thing!

$625 is a lot of money for one figure. For three figures and a major accessory it's a great deal. Besides there's a reason why they're called high end collectibles. Otherwise we'd all be talking about Hasbros and Mattels. Be real.

They couldn't have just given armory without a batsuit that can be made into a figure. If they did, it would be less than what toys legend is offering. Also, it makes little sense to provide just an hanging suit that does not convert into a figure. So as batman and armory as base, now you have two add ons... Bruce and Alfred. So its pretty simple if you ask me. Lastly, if they only made Bruce and or Alfred they wouldn't rake on the 600 plus dollar they will? So its a phenomenal business strategy and also something that 90 pct buyers would want.

It's good for those who don't yet have batman...anyway the suit is only a faceplate away from being batman (since it stands on its own)...so cost-wise it's a better deal, especially since people realistically won't be changing Bruce Wayne into the batman outfit and back again...
