20 Days....CRUNCH TIME...The aussie dollar is going pretty good at the moment, and I am starting to lean towards keeping it....I just have to get a shipping quote...if it's over $200USD, that will put me over...I mean a total of $550USD for Darkness will be TOO much...$500 or there abouts I can handle..

Ouch! That's a tough spot to be in, no doubt about it. Hope it all works out for you! Darkness looks to be one of the best PF figures ever made so far, on par with the Lurtz exclusive, if he arrives looking like the prototype. It would be a real shame to have to miss out on him!

The cape looks smaller in the newer shot. I don't know if it's the way the picture was taken, but it looks like some gemstones were added to his hip/waist area. Other than that, looks the same to me.

i hope the stitching/tears in the pants don't show up as much as they look in the pic.

I dont think the changes were for the better, but they dont necessarily look far worse. The really prominent change is the material for the pants now which look very different with the lights tears. Looks like the same material has been used for the arm and shoulder detailing.
Still looks phenomenal and I cant wait to recieve it, buts it not as exquisite as the proto. Then again rarely anything ever looks as good as the proto.

The fabric for the cape seems different to me.....I'm not really digging those new pants....but perhaps it is the lighting that is playing tricks with my eyes. These new pics aren't as jaw dropping as the prototype was.....but regardless it will still be an awesome figure and I'm glad I still have an exclusive on the way. A figure with this much detail really can not be judged until it is in hand.

True Jen, that's how I feel too. I think that when I have it in person I can really judge it for what it is and decide if I have to fix anything at that time.

Cannot tell why, but I think the prototype looks much better (it almost always happens, doesn't it?). Anyway, it's not that it looks bad in the production pictures, it just doesn't look as perfect as in the prototype pictures. I'm getting it anyway, since it's one of the most impressive statues I've ever seen. And I have to make up for the lack of 1:1 LD bust in my shelves.

In the prototype the cape fabric is thinner and is more worn, has more wrinkles, making it look much more realistic. The pants in the prototype had a cooperish hue and look much better than the greish tones on the final product.

I'm also going to reserve my opinion until I have him in hand. I agree that the finished product never looks as good as the prototype but I'm sure I'll be perfectly satisfied with the outcome....judging my the recently posted pics.
