Yeah, really is. Makes me wonder if I should buy a duplicate just to keep MIB in case anything happens to the one on display (say I break something or get a scuff on the headsculpt)... Have a feeling these will be going for a premium once they're sold out. :S

Wait wait wait! This figure came out???

Where ya been!?

I used to love the DX10 with shades but now even that is starting to bug me. Thinking about foregoing the DX10 clean look altogether and settling on a semi-battle damaged headsculpt on the DX10 (with semi-BD jacket) and full blown BD DX13 Terminator for display. Then I'll just wait for the inevitable clean reissue with new HS.

Does the blood on the semi damaged sculpt really look that bloody in person. I don't know why HT smeared the blood so much :(

The actual look is more subtle blood

I hope it doesn't seem so smeared when I get it in my hands. What a shame because I wanted to do more poses with the semi damaged sculpt.

The damaged sculpt is almost spot on with the blood

Honestly, I don't get what people are saying about the endo parts not being endo-y enough and so on. It looks very, very good in-hand and definitely the 'jammy' aspects are played-up in photos. (I wouldn't be exaggerating to say that I marvelled at both headsculpts, in-hand. Anecdotal, but my wife loathes this hobby yet loved the DX13.) That said, you can always get it re-painted if you hate it. IMO, you have to have a very particular image in your head of what you wanted/were expecting, not to like it (which is not a bad thing, but I think out of the main stream, for sure).

Well, the blood on the flesh I don't care about so much. Its maybe a little excessive but not terribly so. During the SWAT scene there's a fair amount of blood on his face which seems to reduce in subsequent scenes. I just wish they hadn't smeared the endoskeleton parts with blood so much because it makes them stand out less. When Arnie was walking through the steel mill and the light would catch you could clearly make out the silver of his endoskeleton. But on this figure what you see is primarily the shine of a bloodied paint-job, not silver. That's disappointing. I also don't like the fit of the jackets.

Everything else though, excellent at best to pretty good at worst. I would recommend this figure to anyone. There is immense enjoyment to be had here.

Indeed the bloody paint may have been overdone, but the easiest way to explain it is that these are mass-produced, and that it's easier to glide one or two large brush strokes of blood than doing it meticulously by giving some parts more blood than the other, dripping effect, etc. I think if they've done that this figure would only be delayed and fans would keep bombarding threads and HT message boards with "WHERE IS MY BD T800, HT?!"

I can't wait to receive mine Wednesday! Just the anticipation is killing me. I don't own the DX10 and or the MMS version. Always thought both looked off but definitely going to buy a spare body and DX10 Shirt, Pants and Boots so the Semi Damage Head can go on it. Hopefully Hot Toys will release a new clean figure. But we definitely need a T1 Police Shootout and or Kyle Reese or even Endo before that. Missed out on the Tech Noir but it'll be fine since I can get the Police Shootout and I already have the T1 PF which settles it. Hopefully Sideshow will release a Tech Noir PF but anyways back on topic I can't wait to receive this in and a video will be up on here for you guys. :panic:

That's why I'll wait too see how it looks in front of me, I'll take your word for it.

I do wonder how flesh paint will look covering the smeared parts.

I'll know for sure when I see it up close in person :lecture

I hope your right because I love how natural it looks in your shots especially your Rod through the T-800 body scene:clap

Tech Noir Terminator has never appealed to me since I never liked the outfit (that shirt...). However, really looking forward to PS Terminator, endoskeletons and maybe a Kyle Reese (not committed but would go for it if the figure's amazing enough). Definitely still a few key releases before HT should even think about another clean T2.

Very much looking forward to your impressions, guyver (good or bad).

Cheers but keep in mind that only the headsculpt on that particular figure of mine in those pics is from the actual DX13. The body is a custom. It has a BD endo-chest taken from the NECA 12" figure, chromed and transplanted onto the MMS body.

The fact of the matter is the endo-parts on DX13 are pretty much bronze, such is the degree of blood painted onto them.

It shouldn't ruin the entire figure for you but its a fact.
