i just don't see how medicom can justify the $150 prictag for a regular 1/6 figure....is it because he has an irregular sized head??? anyone think it would be cool if someone modded it have magnets in his mid section so he could be "chopped" in half like in the movie???

Yes, but like Sideshow said about there's with the April Fools gag, to do any sort of detachable midsection would kill the torso articulation, which I care more about, I'm more for these as collectibles, I have the Hasbro split apart 12" Maul for toy purposes. I also think the wardrobe might have to be different to accomplish the spiltting feature, and I'd rather good wardrobe too.

I at first thought Medicom's Maul was superior, that was until I saw the product previews on Sideshow's site and the price. The head is way too large. It's measuring in at 5 head lengths, it should be a little over 7. If they fix that, then it would be a superior alternative but still not worth the money they're asking imho.
With Medi Maul's flaws you basically have the same issues as Sideshow's version with a slightly better head sculpt and slightly better costume at three times Sideshow's price.
Not a fair trade off in my opinion.

And if you can deal with that unsightly Med cut neck joint the MED HS and paint apps are crazy good, but I don't like cut neck joints...

Still not worth around 160 shipped to me. I may have my SSC Maul sabres lit up with a cordless cathode...

I thought the Medi-style cut neck on Asajj would bother me on Asajj and it doesn't... I think maybe on a black neck it may not matter too much.

The thing with Asajj and Leia Boushh on the necks is they both have collars and armor to conceal the point where the head ends, and with the Medi figures, there is neck from the face down to the jawline and can look weird, Sideshow's cuts leave a natural looking jawline.

Can't wait to see production shots of this fig.

thanks for the info (sorry i didn't notice that you had mentioned feb. within your previous post)... i am totally looking forward to Maul too!

I wouldn't be surprised if its later than Feb after seeing that the Medicom Marvels from last year are now pushed out till March. Its not like there's any complications for those figures but they are way overdue.

That damn Venom/Punisher figure is growing on me though.
