If I could only have one Hoth piece of everything released/teased, it would definitely be the Probot. It's actually irking me a little that it's not getting a better reception. :p If you go to the Marvel section, people are lining-up to pay $300.00+ for a Mark VII repaint (Midas) or the totally needless Chitauri soldier/commander and no-one is standing around and just *****ing about the price. This is something that might never have been released and an iconic piece of pop culture history; and yet all 80% of people can do is focus on the supposedly egregious price. Not sure if SW fans are too spoiled for choice or what.

Well said. I just started collecting and I don't collect a lot of figures, but I feel compelled to buy this just because it's so well done.

Hmmm.. fairly sure the usual criticism of pricing / repaints has occurred on teh Midas thread..I am still intrigued to know exactly how 'rare' that figure actually is, rather than just awkward to get your paws on.. and Optobotimus' review says it doesn't have the light-up feature in the stand.. I put two in the Belgian store's on-line trolley but just couldn't bring myself to pull the (expensive) trigger. I will probably regret not getting it, later... :lol

Totally agree this droid looks awesome!.. and its got sound, as well as light up features.. after deciding not to purchase Grievous, this could well be the droid I'm looking for! :rock

....The only thing I hope they change is what others have suggested...a clear rod on the stand (unless the rod is metal because of the piece's weight maybe?)...

This isn't exactly the droid I'm looking for but I highly doubt I can pass on this

I really hope that they make the post clear a la IM style. What the hell are they thinking with an opaque dark colored post????

Actually the Chitauri set is now getting beaten down because of the price.

I think this may however shoot down any original guestimates of the Tauntaun being $350 or under. My bet is $399-$429 on the space horse

I hope not I'm hoping to get a tauntaun + Han or Luke for under $500, though my biggest issue is Luke or Han, I think Luke is more iconic

This piece will be epic to own. You don't even have to commit to the Hoth 1:6 line to have this as a stand-alone piece.

So, as it stands right now, there are no pix of this thing next to a 12"figure?...PS

No.

I really don't understand how they can make this before Chewie, R2 and 3PO. This line is what, 7 years old now, almost 8 and we get this 2 minute screentime droid over 3 iconic characters?

I'm desperate for a Chewie :gah:

Unfortunately, I think you may be right.

There's a scale comparison chart on Sideshow's product page. Not ideal, but it'll give you a general idea.
