I think you're right there, I had the same limit but I'd probably pay the price if it wasn't for those dreads, I just can't get over them. I could tolerate the base and small spear etc otherwise. I guess we'll see what the ES is and go from there... I will get the Big Chap lsb and stop looking for a while I think. I'll probably save up a bit, hope there is a P1 LSF and then call it a day. Can't keep up with the price rises, it's very much a rich mans game now.

Just Flexed the Ex as well. I need a nice Predator in my collection. 4 more pieces this Reeves Superman Keaton Batman and Azog on warg and I'm out too. I can't afford this hobby anymore either not to mention I'm out of space.

guys i would love your opinion on something… here is my self-imposed dilemma: if you have the option do you choose to get BOTH the Apocalypse Premium format AND the Gladiator Hulk PF OR just the predator 2 maquette?? They are equal in retail price and id love to hear some opinions…thanks in advance!

Depends really, The price on Apocalypse has me again shaking my head in comparison to something that is double because it has "Maquette" written on the box.

Value for money you'd have to go the two (bigger) pieces but it depends how much you love predator.

If I was spending this much on a Predator though I'd try and hunt down the original. Personally I'd wait for the edition size on the P2 if it's low probably grab it.

It's not like you're asking because they're similar things, I don't think you'll get two options more poles apart
Go with what you love.
If you even need to ask the question I doubt you love either option enough.
I personally would, and am, taking the Pred in a heart beat.

It's true...in the end only you can make the choice, but sometimes I think people want to hear others either agree with what they've already subconsciously chosen, or here arguments for both side so they can figure out the internal struggle within. I don't think someone saying, "Predator, no question!" will make him choose. I'm not even sure everyone saying that would make him decide to go with Predator! So yes, I can see why you go as it's definitely all up to them in the end regardless.

For me, it's what I like more over saying, "Well I could get two awesome ones, or one awesome one!" For me, this is definitely expensive! I wouldn't be able to justify it right now, but I'm also not a die hard Predator fan. If this was, say, the Predalien Life Size Bust back for a limited time...or a new one for about $1k, then I'd definitely flex it and stop ordering for a while, because it's something I just really want more than other things...so price isn't always the be all end all. It's all a matter of what "does" it for you.

If you think you'll enjoy Hulk and Apoc more, than go with them! If you think your collection needs a Predator over those two, then you have your answer there too! If you'd love all three, well then yes, then it's just like I said above...which would YOU like to have more in your collection? Only you know that

I love Predator and P2. I like Hulk but I have zero love for Planet Hulk. I like Apocalypse.

Choice made. P2 ordered. Go with what you love.

My largest statue to date is my Darth Vader PF. So if I do decide to get this then it will dwarf all my other statues. Which is what a Predator should do, of course.

I am probably going to be getting this predator to go along with my P1 maquette, price might be a little steep but they should look good together . The base doesnt bother me niether does the dreds or spear lol.

Sideshow seems to think that's the best method to show relative size.

wowowow…ok first: when I asked which ones you guys would go with, I never stated that your responses would, in any way, be dictating what I purchase. If you read carefully, I start with "if" which is a hypothetical…to those of you who criticized maybe I was just legitimately curious as to what people would say or think…I was looking more into how people would make the decision using the financial factors more than or versus using what they like more. SO before you try to rip me because you assume that Im going to spend $1200 based on what other ppl say, you should consider there may be other motives for asking. No offense to any of you (and I thank those who actually answered and gave their opinion) but I would never buy ONE statue let alone 2 or 3 based on someone else's opinion. The most it would ever do is just enlighten me as to how some people approach their collecting, which is insightful but certainly not an indicator or a deciding factor on anything I'll be doing...

personally, Ik I'm getting apocalypse for sure, and 90% on board with predator…my only question I guess would be to get hulk or not…the only reason I'm hesitating would be because I'm only purchasing it because I think it looks badass, and not because I'm some huge hulk fan, as Im not. So it becomes an issue of spending $600 on something I want vs something I need. I NEED the pred and apoc, not sure the GH is a need, if u get what I'm saying…thanks again for the input tho its much appreciated

I kinda wish the ex spear hand wasn't holding anything at all. That way if the spear looks goofy you could just go with an empty hand. The smart-disc is really cool...the rebreather not so much for permanent display.

Have they addressed the spear issue at all? Or are they just ignoring the feedback?

Put it this way, me favorite movie is Predator, I have the Dutch Premium format exclusive, a Predator 2 Bio which I bought 10 years ago, the Predator 2 Neca figure. Every Predator comic ever released, both movies on Blue Ray and a 1/6 scale Hot Toys Predator.

I'm not buying this purely because someone is completely taking the micky out of the fans here and it's time to draw the line.

That's exactly where they get you. They might as well have made it $1600 and it will still sell. They crossed a line with me on this one and as you can tell I'm a little bit bitter about it!!!! lol

You want to sell me a short speared , right angled dread lock predator with the standard one knee up pose and charge me more than a custom would cost? They are having a laugh.
