And to be completely fair, he wasn't even REALLY batman at that point.

Yeah he was. Sure he was the "Bat-Man", but he was still a Batman nonetheless. It laid the groundwork, no 1939/1940, no "Batman".

Since this one is blue, my preference would have been a Neal Adams/Jim Aparo Batman. The look he had in the 70s, 80s, early 90s. Just give him the yellow oval, pouchless belt with classic cylinders and streamlined gloves and boots,

This one would have been better in black and grey, I think. I mean, that's what they did with their busts?

Black and gray and all black Batman figures are soooo played out. What makes this one stand out is that it is blue and gray.

I agree the black and grey is over exposed the blue and grey switches things up again. for those obsessed with the black ad grey just paint the head and change everything. it's easy.

Lets break it down.

SSC Batman

This figure comes with 2 heads. TWO being the key number here. And one interchangeable face. A couple of hands. Some type of grapnel gun. Batarang, bat shurikens, a effin kryptonite ring!!

Msrp : $199

Avengers Thor

A hammer....oh and A few hands.

Msrp : $220

Captain America

Extra head sculpt, one shield, a few hands, and a gun he never used.

Msrp : $230

See where I'm going here?

the exclusive is 3 heads one long ear,one short and one battle damage that is 3 heads for one figure that's a lot compaired to hot toys

I like what I see.
The one problem I have is Batman's ears bending outwards, they look like horns.
Batman's ears should go straight up as a continuation of the head and neck.
Thankfully a short ears version is included.
I also agree with those who wish the neck had remained solid.
Still, overall a really cool looking figure, I preordered it.
I can't wait to see Superman and more pictures of this one.

I think the horn looking ears is Brian Bolland thing. Since their Joker has a strong Bolland influence, I bet that's what they were going for with this.

I wish the blue was darker, that's my only problem. That and he's more expensive than SSC Joker and Catwoman. I still think the head sculpt needs work, a lot at that.

While, you're correct about it being the original colors, They were not those colors for very long, and I HIGHLY DOUBT anyone in here is nostolgic for that "original design"

I'd love a figure with the original design, purple gloves and all.

I Pre-ordered this awesome figure! The best in the line. I only want Batman and when Superman comes out that will be it. Not a fan of the Joker or Harley and Catwomen. For me I think Batman and Superman are the top of the line. Love everything about this figure. :clap

And let's not forget, this was teased a while ago.

It has two heads too. I might be inclined to just wait for that one (if it's happening and isn't just an initial concept they threw out).

:goodpost:
Me too.
Someone did a 39 Bats recently on the customs board and it was great. Lerath is wrong 9 times for everytime hes right, so his stance on no one wanting a 39 does not surprise me in the least. :lol

SSC teased a sixth scale Arkham figure? I missed that one, thanks.

They did but in a Interview shortly before SDCC they said to look for Hot Toys Arkham City figures... I personally perfer the darker Asylum look...

I'm gonna wait for one of those $20 coupons before I order this. I'll still get the black/grey version if they make it.

I just want some semblance of a Conroy Batman, not including those TAS Maquettes (too small).

Well that one above is the "Classic" blue and grey with yellow oval. The "Arkham" was just the transition of concepts in the video.

This is the actual Arkham concepts,
