Simple. The Avengers costume was so poorly designed not befitting of what Thor would wear. Seriously spandex pants (or whatever material its made of)....pfft.

Ha ha ha it's funny how ppl want the HT version sleeveless and the NECA version with sleeves, curious.
They should've covered the arms.The dutch figures arms look much better then thors. I bet because of some more articulation but not liking this one ironman and cap are good . I 'll let the pic speak for it self. Still waiting for thier hulk version.

I think it has more to do with the fact that Thor's pants in the Avengers movie looked like Police pants?

also, with all the stuff they're trying to release, by the time Thor comes out it will just in time with the movie.
Might as well use the Dark World version, but I still like the metal looking sleeve.

Iron Man took a dive yesterday and both of his shoulder pads are now broken. Oh well. Not really digging the new ones so he will likely be it as far as NECA 1/4 goes.

Hi guys! Sorry to derail the current discussion on Thor, but I'd just like to share my NECA Iron Man.
Bought it 2 weeks ago at the New York Comic Con for just $70 (thought the price was too good to pass up). TSA Officers inspected my checked-in luggage though and split the figure's head open. There were lots of scratches as it seemed that they struggled to open it, and the tiny wires for the LED eyes were broken. Fixed the lights, and thought I'd give Battle Damaging the figure a try since it's been scratched anyway.
It's my first time to try this, and I don't have an airbrush so everything was done with old brushes. I'm pretty happy with the result. BD-ing this figure makes it look more expensive
I hope you guys find it okay!

WOW, I'd buy that, hides how "bad" the clean version is, also wtf where the TSA doing breaking him open?

I'm sure TSA would sat it's a standard procedure... but this experience told me that ever I buy a much expensive figure (like Hot Toys) from a US convention in the future, I'd see to it that I'll have it hand-carried. The way they left poor Iron Man's split-head in my luggage was unnerving.
