I wasn't comparing the production costs of QVC to Hot Toys...what I was trying to point out that the $500 price tag is overpriced because it don't cost that much to make Igor. You know it and I know its overpriced. Why are you guys trying to convinced fan thats this price is reasonable? :cuckoo:

It is overpriced, yes, but by how much? No one will exactly know. Common business sense along with the pages and pages of explanation pretty much point to HT not making hundreds upon hundreds of dollars on this. You have not shown any facts that support you claim which just tells me at this point your just trolling. Most likely because you want it but cant get it.

And FYI the iron monger was $480, its pretty much about the same size except that was before IM figures went on the craze. So this isn't the first time an iron man figure was around this price and wont be the last.

Look stop beating a dead horse on this, we get it, you don't want it and guess what, WE DONT CARE. So in the words of Richard Pryor "have a coke and shut the @uck up!" :wave

1. This required a completely new sculpt with no mods or reuses (which was the case with Monger but that was a couple of years ago)
2. Market demand sets the price, not just materials, manufacturing costs, etc. Otherwise you could get a Ferrari for around the same price as a Lexus or a Toyota.
3. The thing is going to be huge.
4. HT sees what folks are dropping on customs, they know the market is out there.
5. The collecting world has gone Iron Man bat**** crazy, so why wouldn't they ride that wave.
6. It's cool.

@megacolor

Sir, with no disrespect. But please just keep it to yourself. Either overpriced or not, this conversation needs to put an end please. The past 10pages don't make sense on who's right or who's wrong. The people who preorder and willing to buy it even if its overprice or not, that's there choice. We don't need to know you are right with or without your said FACTS. But please keep it to yourself now, you did your part now but that's enough. We can be 100x right but your annoying now and it does not help the forum. I'm sorry and thank you for being understandable. Have a good day.

You already made your point if people aggrees or not. It just needs to stop. We all have our egos flying over here but we need to stopped these now because it don't look good reading in the forums. It won't stop if we still keep on stating you are right and they are wrong and vice-versa. I'm calmly saying to step aside and keep it to yourself. Likewise, i will shut up too if i see the forum not being wasted for 10+ pages of who got the right Facts or not, right answer or not. You done your part. And thank You for your understanding. I won't be buying this figure also btw, it maybe overpriced. But that's it, respect. Thanku sir

lol this is pretty ridiculous I mean hot toys has the right to price their products at whatever price point they want. I firmly believe in getting what you pay for and for the price you get pure quality, if price is such a problem then maybe you should start collecting cheap iron man figures at Walmart for $10 bucks lol

You know restaurants have high operating margins, so, going by yourlogic, the next time the cashier at McDonald's ask that you pay $2.19 for your order of 1 large fries, tell them that's absurd because those fries cost barely a dollar to make.

The only "reasonable" price you pay (which by your logic should be around the costs of manufacture) for a consumer good is if you make your stuff yourself. So, here's wishing you good luck manufacturing your own collectibles, planting your own vegetables, manufacturing your own pens, pencils, clothes, and I guess any consumer good you could think of. :lol

Igor is actually costing me @ $750. Since its listed as having the same or similar amount of articulation as Red Snapper, I am convinced RS is atriculate enough to have been a MMS. So......
