Re: Corrose's Workshop - Base Decals, 1/6 Custom Replicas - NEW DARYL BANDANAS!

Awesome! I recommend soaking it in water, then wrinkling it all up.
Maybe even add a tiny amount of black and yellow to make it look dirty like in this pic -

I was meant to ask this earlier, Corrose, but do you know if it would affect the print if gets soaked in water?

Thanks corrose. I Took a quick picture. Now i need to futz it.

Re: Corrose's Workshop - Base Decals, 1/6 Custom Replicas - NEW DARYL BANDANAS!

Glad to see the first photo roll in!
Yes the transfer material is completely safe with water. Again, this material and process is used to make t-shirts. I have made full size t-shirts for myself that have been washed and tumble dried several times with no issues.

However with these bandanas, just be careful, the transfer itself will be fine, but remember, the edges were not hemmed so that they could realistically fray a little. If you do a ton of handheld futzing it may fray more than you want.

Just take your time.

On another note, there were a few of you with in-progress custom work, a few folks I was aiming to finish up this weekend. My original plan was to attend a local convention most of Saturday and then have all day today to try to wrap those things up. I had a family emergency a couple of hours into the convention and ended up having to leave. After spending a huge part of the day at the ER, everything ended up okay.

I went back to the convention today, because I had already apend a few hundred dollars in pre-orders and couldn't let that waste.

I got in awhile ago and will try to get a little work done before bed.
If you are one of the folks I'm referring to, thank you for your understanding, and I will get you taken care of asap.

Thanks!

Hey no problem buddy. Do your thing man.

Re: Corrose's Workshop - Base Decals, 1/6 Custom Replicas - NEW DARYL BANDANAS!

Played a ton of catch up last night and today. If you have a current pending question/request/order that you have not heard from me last night or today on, can you shoot me an email again to: [email protected]

I'm not a huge fan of the PMs, only because they stay full, and I'm always having to hastily delete things so others can get through. That makes it tougher to keep up with a chat.

The replies/revisions/comments came via PM or email, depending on which way we have been communicating.

Thanks!

Re: Corrose's Workshop - Base Decals, 1/6 Custom Replicas - NEW DARYL BANDANAS!

From Russia with love!
Just got these goodies in the mail!

For those of you who were not following these threads earlier this year, I took on 2 Miami Killer projects, I sculpted and produced both the slide box and Trinity Urn. I offered these items as either unpainted versions, or painted. I teamed up with Max Miniatures overseas who continues to take these projects of mine and blows me out of the water with their painting skills.

The slide boxes I have seen earlier runs, and still very amazed with the paint, but this is the first time seeing the finished urns. Only 3 of us opted in to have them painted, and I'm telling you, you guys really, really missed out on a masterpiece. The painted urns in hand are simply fantastic, each flower has the proper gold trim around them, the flowers and pattern are an amazing match to the source material...I could go on and on, but I cannot wait to get this properly displayed with my Dex. I will get the urns packed up and shipped this week guys, stay tuned here for that info.

Re: Corrose's Workshop - Base Decals, 1/6 Custom Replicas - Miami Killer Urn Pics!

Just got the Daryl bandana! Awesome piece man. I like how you gave it a slightly weathered look.
I'll post pics of it on the figure soon.
Thanks!

Re: Corrose's Workshop - Base Decals, 1/6 Custom Replicas - NEW Daryl Bandanas!

Aside from the couple I have on hold for a couple of people, I only have 2 of these left as "in-stock".

I can always do another run, but it might be a little before I circle back around to it.

Please let me know if anyone wants to snag one of these right away.
These are shipping in about 24 hours from payment being received.

Ok everyone, very excited with the final on these. I bought a few blank, black bandanas this morning. This material as you know is much, much thinner than a cotton shirt which works perfect for this project. It allows it to bunch up nicely around the bottom.

The actual prints are done on a professional quality roland heat transfer material using solvent inks. This is the same process a shirt shop would use for shirt runs where silk screening is not needed.

I permanently pressed the transfers onto the material using the same kind of heat press that shirt shops use, the bond is permanent and bubble free. The transfer material, even when applied to a garment can be stretched with the fabric and will not crack or tear. I have been able to stretch an applied transfer to around 3x it's original size with no issues, it's top shelf stuff.

I did a small run tonight and wanted to share the pricing and ordering information.

The price per bandana is: $30 shipped worldwide and includes paypal fees. My paypal is: [email protected]
The included shipping is going to be your basic, postal option, no tracking etc. If this is something you need expedited, that will be a fee you are responsible for.

Since these are ready to go, there is no need for a formal sign up list. Feel free to go ahead and make a payment. If you want to avoid shipping delays, please make sure your board name and correct shipping info is included in the paypal transaction.

There are 2 options you guys can ask for on these:

1) Shipped flat and unfolded
2) Permanent press crease (see images). This is nice because you won't have to pinch your folds by hand.

Your folding option must be indicated in your payment notes, otherwise you will be shipped an unfolded version.

All you will need to do is twist the edges and tie a small knot around the back of the head. If your figure head is any larger than Arnie here you can easily stretch the bandana out a little to give some more reach. It helped me to use needle nose pliers to tighten the back.

The edges are not hemmed, I wanted these to have the ability to fray a little bit. When they arrive, there will be little to no fray, as they are brand new. With some handling you can get that nice natural fray to start to show.

As mentioned these are in hand and can ship in less than 24 hours of payment received.

There is no need to PM me prior to ordering, just go for it. If you have any questions just let me know.

Thanks!

Re: Corrose's Workshop - Base Decals, 1/6 Custom Replicas - NEW DARYL BANDANAS!

All orders have shipped, thanks guys! I still have a couple left in the in-stock batch that can go out right away, just let me know.

On a super-duper fantastic note, I got word yesterday that the 3D printer will ship most likely this coming week. Shipping will take about a week, and then I have a 2 day scheduled training to go over some of the advanced features, calibration etc. I'm thinking I could possibly be up and running fully within a few weeks!

I will compose a more comprehensive post after I am in full 3D print mode giving you guys an outline of what I want to try to do for the community. As I have discussed with some of the customizers here, me making this purchase is not about squeezing myself in and others out. I do plan on offering printing services for my own projects as well as other digital sculptors who are looking for high resolution mold masters.

So hold off on your requests until I'm all set, but I think this is going to be very exciting for me, and hopefully you guys are going to dig a lot of what I will be working on. It's going to be a wide gamut from custom bases, to headsculpts, 1/6 accessories and much more!

This is great news! Glad to see you decided to get the 3D printer. Can't wait to see what in store for us!
