I've avoided this thread 'cause I only just caught up on Dexter last night. What a crock. And to think I was just going to shell out $800 for a custom Dexter figure I wouldn't pay forty bucks for one now.

:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl

I have the booblehead that was 13 bucks ... and I feel robbed now :lol

I was only able to buy seasons 1-4 of Dexter in January a couple of years ago, they were on clearance. (It was like 12 each)

I always meant to buy the rest of the series, but now I seriously wouldn't get the other ones.

But the series used to be very good in it's hey day and so for me I still lurve my Dex figure. Acting as a reminder of how great it once was.

Sadly loads of popular TV series seem to have ended quite poorly. In fact I can only think of a few that managed a long run without turning to pants in the final series.

I don't know. I loved watching the first 4 seasons but after this one I don't really know what to think. It makes me really mad to think about it. makes me upset.

I might try to watch them again later, maybe in November or something, but I don't think it could be the same. Dexter has been ruined.

I am starting to hate Michael C hall now, and once you start hating the main actor there is no hope. Specially because of how full of himself and how serious he has been about how Awesome and Satisfying season 8 has been, I used to love the guy but now his comments about this season are starting to make me sick. Saying how this season felt right and how proud he was... wtf.

I don't think I could have a Dexter figure and like it knowing what he said about season 8, It's like just looking at him now pisses me off.

Well I've been watching re-runs on TV and I have to say I still love them as much as I did when I first saw them.

OMG...That is so true about hating an actor and not being able to watch the show that "that" person is in!
That happens to me a lot. Example...The Bridge. I started watching it and the blonde cop got on my nerves so much that after about 3 episodes, I just couldn't watch it anymore no matter how good the show was to me. :cuckoo: :lol
Somehow this is different. As much as I dislike Dexter the show, the character and MCH now...I cant NOT watch it. I agree MCH seems to have become pretentious and arrogant. I don't agree with his latest comments either, but I still HAVE TO watch it.
The early seasons of Dexter are the best as we all know, and will remain in my dvd collection however, I will never buy and will try to wipe my memory clear of the **** known as seasons 5, 6 and 7 like they never existed after next Sunday. What an extreme waste of what was once an outstanding, edge of your seat ride. It's really a sad ending even tho Dexter could seemingly live happily ever after in Argentina. Who would have thought? :slap

I will probably still watch Dexter in the future, but I am not the fan of MCH that I used to be.
I really don't care for his next projects, like at all.

I think when MCH announced he had Cancer he was talking about all the butt-hurt Dexter fans that whine about every single thing that happens on the show. :lol

MCH can kiss Andy Whitfield's *** if he wants to play the cancer card. Hall is alive today to milk a series that should have ended three years ago. Whitfield's widow is a single mother. Cry me a f---ing river Dex. Fans of the show aren't the problem.

well that wasn't me because back then I liked the show :lol

But he is pretty arrogant now so.... I dont know

They've turned a stone cold serial killer from season one who has zero real attachment to anyone into a pure vigilante who loves every single person around him, Mr gonna miss his coworkers, loves his sister, runnning away with a chick, crying over an old lady he just met... CRYING??

I haven't read any of the spoilers, but everyone knows, theres no righting this ship in one final episode.

Like crows says, back then the show was good and everyone loved it, so there was no complaining but nothing wrong with calling a spade a spade. The show's pretty much indefensible now, quality wise, so don't get these kinds of comments. If anyone is really OK with the show and thinks it's fine than they obviously just don't give a **** about the premise, characters or what was built in the first four seasons. The lead writer from those seasons concurs the show's garbage, which is pretty unusual since those guys usually stick together and are careful not to antagonize former employers and/or workmates. It'd be the same if say Vince Gilligan got greedy w/Breaking Bad and ran the show into the ground. He would and should get criticized in such a scenario.

LOL, same. Most of us seem to be hate-watching the show, at this point. Looking forward to seeing it get a good trashing and then dropping seasons 5 - 8 into the memory hole (where they can join Godfather III and the prequels), never to be mentioned again!
