How can anyone say that's not bale?

Short of using Rick Moranis' machine in honey I shrunk the kids, to actually shrink Christian Bale down to 1/4 scale, what more do folk want??!!

It's a figure at the end of the day. And a bloody amazing one in my eyes.

I couldn't make one any better or sculpt like that, can you? Lol

Sculpt is not what I do for living. If someone, in the world can sculpt a head sculpt of Christian Bale with better likeness (let's said Creg Customs for example). Then, why Hot Toys can't?

An artist can only portray what they see. That's the nature of the beast. Picasso paintings sell for a fortune, I personally wouldn't wipe my arse with one. Plus customs places aren't under the same pressures to release stuff like HT, they can take more time.

See how awesome their sculpts are after a year of folk pressuring them.

I don't buy quarter-scale ... but that faceplate is badass. It'd be nice to get one of those for the DX12.

Maybe I am just confused then. The EB is based on the Batman Begins Batman or TDK Batman? It looks like BB but I've seen many people refer to it as "Enterbay TDK"

The first part of TDK, Batman wears the same suit he used on Batman Begins.

He wore the begins suit at the start of TDK. Guessing EB didn't get the rights to the second suit.

Well, good enough to get it. Count me in. :)

Still don't like:

- The back of the head (cowl)
- The eyes/PERS
- The suit looks too shinny
- The Wayne sculpt is off (but the EB one is off too, so not a problem to me)

For some reason Hot Toys just can't sculpt Christian Bale. They can't do it well!!

I'm kinda with you on the cowl sculpt - it still isn't correct but meh - this thing looks amazing so the rest of the figure makes up for it.

I think the lower half of the Bale sculpt is great - not sure about the nose or hair. They seem to have gone for a mid-way Bale - half Dark Knight half older/exhausted longer haired Rises.

Ahh okay. Being modeled after the BB Batman, it is a very nice figure. I just don't like that suit. Like i said, its plain. There is so much more detail in TDK and TDKR suits.

I think it was tactics by Enterbay - they wanted the Dark Knight license because it allows them to release The Joker, essentially stealing it from HT's clutches. It also allows them to create both the BB suit AND the Dark Knight suit.

HT will be DESPERATE to make a 1/4 scale Joker - the character brings in so much money for them.

Who knows - they might eventually be able to do it.

I doubt it was EB intention to 'steal' Joker from Hot Toys clutches. They were doing a new scale that HT weren't even considering until EB started doing it. EB merely knew that the license was available and took it. They may not have banked on HT jumping on their bandwagon and buying up every other 1:4 scale license that EB didn't have.

Yeah the EB had that open mouth growl. I love the begins suit more but I might pick this up to go with joker.

To me the BW sculpt is great but honestly not make me amazed like when I saw EB rambo's sculpt & their BD T800. Sure it's look like christian bale, but still something is missing.
and I know it's just a figure at the end of the day.
but improvement can be made because people will never be satisfied.
I remember buying my 1st 1/6 figure and think it has great likeness, but right now I have no regret selling it :lol
not trying to argue here, just sharing my thoughts:wave
To be fair. It's hardly EBs fault the suit is plain. It's movie accurate. Mine blows me away every time I look at it.
I agree:exactly:

I agree entirely. But one persons improvement is another persons disaster. Lol. Can it be improved? Possibly. Does it bother me or affect my decision to buy it? No.

I think it's fantastic.

Just checked evilbay, TimeCent out of Hong Kong has him in stock for a whopping $738.00 plus free bag. WOW, talk about milking the price!!!!!!

Damn...I buy from Timcent but that seems excessive. This seems to be a pattern though with Batman stuff. Ebay sellers know how milkable Batman collectors in particular are.
