Never mind the gore factor. A 1/6 scale (or CT size for the scale purists :wink1:) Great Goblin King would seriously breach the fugly factor :lecture

But it would be an insta buy for this collector :)

that is the single worst designed and carried out character in all the Middle-earth films. I would not buy a premium scale figure of it for ten dollars.

That's your choice. There are plenty who disagree with it and are actively pushing for WETA to make a 1/6 or large version of him and it is looking a very likely they will ,so you may have saved ten bucks :wink1:

Agreed! I realize the design isn't everyone's cup of tea but he's a pretty damn cool design IMO. I have the gg bust on order and will without a doubt get a statue from Weta. You're spot on if someone didn't like it at least you saved yourself some money.

I like the goblin king. Beauty is in the eyes of beholder I guess although the goblin king isn't exactly a beauty.

I like the Goblin King. I did wish he was a little bit smaller but his character is definitely one that has been around since the first age plus he was who he was because he lived the good life a little too long as Goblin King. The Goblin King was pretty much as the book described him. I actually have more of a problem with Azog who in my opinion should have died outside of Moria and Bolg should have been the main antagonist from there avenging daddy's death just like the book. Bolgs first appearance should have been at Weathertop where we find out who and why the Orcs were following the dwarves. That's how I woulda done it.

It would be cool if they have the Goblin King sitting on his throne holding his staff. Maybe leaning forward making a fist or pointing with his other hand. Done to the level of Azog that would be pretty impressive.

I wouldn't mind seeing that as mini-statue myself. I want him standing nice and tall with the Goblin Scribe by his side in his little bucket.
