That just sounds like they're trying to give you someone else's return.

Can you post the picture Sideshow sent you of Aayla and the paint scuff on her belly?

I'm wondering if it can be concealed somehow.

Refund. Her stomach is one of her best parts. Besides a few retailers still have new versions unless you have the Ex.

Why would Sideshow do that and burn customers that simply want a new statue? Especially after waiting on the replacements. Not only is that bad business but it might be illegal for a company to say if you don't accept the bad replacement you can't order from us anymore. Unless a customer consistently is getting bad pieces or something.

I am following a thread where a guy filed his complaints with the california atorney general and the bbb about his exchange, replacement, refund experience with sideshow, and they canceled his account just a couple days ago for doing that.

I've seen this too. It seems that its either Sideshow's way or the highway. Be careful everybody.

Edit: Also, if Sideshow does eventually run out of replacements for this piece, Big Bad Toy Store still has the regular version in stock.

I know, but some of us like the ex versions. No biggie on small little parts like prints, plants, hands, small weapons etc. But ex like Harley and superman with the switch out COH is a different story to me. The ex COH are always a really want for me. But in any case with these new prices I can still buy one off the after market during release for very close or less then retail. I do see SS cs improving on sold out parts replacement which is a good sign compare to a few months back which was always a no. I just hope they continue on giving replacement parts at least for the first couple of weeks of getting a new item. that's all I ask of them. It really keeps collectors happy and they still make money off them, plus it will keep collectors buying more in the future. But canceling an account is something else. I won't even get into it since I don't know everything.

I hear ya and I would agree but only if the EX is a 'must have', and even still, the definition of a must have will be different for everyone.

Arrrgg! I was moving the statue around today and bumped the lightsaber cracking the glass inside. Now it doesn't light up. Does anyone know if sideshow would sell a replacement? Has anyone been able to get a replacement piece that's been broken after the fact?

Errr. Sorry to hear this. Tell me about it! I had that happen a couple of times that's why I don't display most sabers on them. It sucks like a %#%*+%%. I know the feeling. The good news is I have an extra set. Pm me if I interested if you can't get a replacement. The tough thing would be how to pack it safely for it to get there. It would be in a bigger box. then again it could light up on mine but not on yours. I don't really know if I can help or not because of the way they made this. I'm more worried that I can show it lights up on mine and what if it does not light up on yours? But it's been a while I would need to check it to see if it comes on at all from storage. But I do have an extra saber and arm in mint unused condition.

Woah, sorry to hear.
Your best bet is to find one from someone willing to sell. Get a hold of CBG before someone else does.
