so you're saying that jett's sold out or something? and for the "other" better sites, you have any examples?

Yeah, he sold out.

BOF was good during the "Batman Begins" days. He reported good, solid news, and rose to fame for it. WB noticed that fans listened to him (for good reason, at the time).

However, WB doesn't like leaks. Chris Nolan especially hates it. They want to control the release of everything. That's understandable. Some fans, on the other hand, try to get their hands on any and all info, via spy reports, leaked pics, etc. That's also understandable.

In the "Batman Begins" days, any and all such info could be found on BOF. WB knew this, so they extend themselves to Jett and BOF during the filming of "The Dark Knight" - they gave him access to press conferences, invited him to a studio or two for a tour, and made him semi-official. In turn, they expected him to severely limit the unauthorized release of information that any leaks reported to him.

If you were following him during TDK, you'd notice that he'd take a condescending attitude - acting like he was working for WB and "refusing to release certain info" for "our own good" and to please WB.

They bought him out, and the price was real low too.

I'm not complaining about him not reporting anything and everything - there's a lot of BS, and over time you learn to pick it out easily and just not report it. It's good that he doesn't report all the BS he gets (though he does report some of it). But he got a lot of legit info, that he knew was legit, and sat on it. And announced that he sat on it, too, to make himself look more credible.

And if you tried to report it yourselves, on the BOF message boards, they banned you, real fast. They were very strict about stuff that WB didn't want getting released (like that set of 18 or so pics released super early in the summer of the filming, that gave us our first look of the interrogation room scene Joker and revealed that Scarecrow was in the movie).

It was and is policy on that website - only stuff that WB is happy to let out gets put on that site. And Jett goes along with it, because it gets him closer access for himself and makes him feel special.

What I'm saying isn't a secret - just ask around.

You don't want to read spoilers? Fine. He doesn't want to give them away to people who don't want to accidentally read them? Fine - he should put them in spoiler tags. Put a warning before he posts the info on his site. But he shouldn't flat out refuse to release the info and ban those who do post it on his own message board.

Especially since he used to be cool with it, back in the day.

As for better sites? Superherohype.com is good, and their message boards have the best Batman spies and viral players out there. A lot of us in Chicago worked together through that site, with our spy reports and such. All the secret info, like the leaked pics and trailers, ended up there too. There was policy against it, but not strict like on BOF, so we could work around it.

Anything you find on BOF, you can find elsewhere. He's not special, believe me.

I'd have to agree to disagree. Each to their own but I think BoF /Jett are great supporters of Batman and the latest Nolan films.

No doubt he loves Batman and Nolan. But if you want the latest news and info, BOF isn't the way to go. Jett has his own agenda.

My only complaint is that there isn't enough Bat 3 news out there for more posts.

It's far too early for Batman 3 info at this point. As far as the timeline goes, we're not even at the point relative to the projected release as we were when they announced Heath Ledger and "The Dark Knight" as the title to the second movie.

I thought the coverage of BB & TDK/the filming/ viral campaign etc was fantastic and it's the most excitement I've experienced to a films build up. Rumours are always marked as such and he avoids posting major plot spoilers unlike most sites.

What's wrong with posting spoilers? As long as there are warnings around them, let people make their own choice as to what to read. That's what I'm complaining about - his refusal to post info that others have and his condescending attitude about it.

Incidentally, the superherohype.com boards have spoiler boards and non-spoiler boards for discussions regarding the next Batman film. So you can have it either way.

On BOF, you can't discuss all the latest if you don't want to, lest you get banned.

I know the site could do with a facelift by today's standards of web pages but I think it shows just how humble and grounded Jett is. He's just an everyday Joe that has supported something he truely loves and believes in and good luck to him. Sell out? Nah.

True, he's an everday Joe. But everday Joes can sell out just as easily - in fact, their price generally is all the lower for it.

Jett got bought for a low, low price, and he's let it go to his head. He doesn't provide the service to the fan community that he once did. And that's why I say he sold out.

Very good post and very true according to everything I know anyway. I follows the SHH / BOF message boards extensively in the 18 month lead up to TDK

That's a bit harsh.

Robin, whether you like it or not, is a very integrel part of the Batman story line. You can't really ignore it. I liked how the 90's animated series treated the character. He helped Batman but was never the main focus. Once it switched the Adventures of Batman and Robin though he was brought in way more and I never liked it as much. Robin shouldn't be equal to Batman.

I agree alot with this. Robin was great in the animated series stuff.

So, now officially Gordon is canceled  I hate you HT (why say you make it and then, "Well, we are not...":cuckoo:):
Regarding the Dark Knight movie figure line, Any plans on making Ras Al Ghul, Blake Police uniform, Gordon with formal suit, or others not in the list?

Ras Al Ghul not yet confirmed but many messaged us about it. Yes, we will make Blake but not Gordon with formal suit. (Q&A with Howard Chan @ACGHHK / Mark Osr)

It's not like it's a total loss.

The HT SWAT Gordon head on a TT with a separately sourced clothing ensemble, shouldn't be too difficult to muster over time. :huh

From what I understand, they didn't do him because he's easy to bash, if what Mark OSR said is any indication. I'd actually think that'd be more of a reason to do him.

Maybe they didn't know what formal meant.

Evil superman was an easy bash too, with the amount of normal superman flooding the current market. :lol

They clearly don't know what a formal interview is. In a formal interview, you shouldn't really use "delayed" so much; maybe try to mix it up with some explanations, and/or wider vocabulary.

Why go to the trouble and expense of crafting the Gordon headsculpt and then only release it as an exclusive? Lunacy.

And only the Lieutenant version in SWAT, not even the full-fledged Commish? :cuckoo:

Could someone post the interview that is being discussed regarding Gordon?

Also, was there any talk on a Batman Begins DX?

We should all write on the HT wall "we need Gordon!!!!" Make memes, storm them with request.
Everybody needs Tony Mechanic, which is so hard to bash... and no Gordon? They said they will make him, so they should.
"Let the games begin!"

Hot Toys can do so much more with the Nolan Batman License

-Commissioner Gordon
-Batman Begins DX
-Ras
-Stock Exchange Bane
-Nurse Joker

Longshots
-Alfred
-Fox
-Blake
-Talia

They better get on it, because in a year or two the hype for these figures will be very low IMO.

I'm thinking once sales start to slip on Iron Man, we'll get a healthy dose of Bats once again. Probably timed to the release of Batman/Superman.

I sure hope so, there is still so many to be done. I'd definitely get:

1) Commisioner Gordon
2) Batman Begins DX
3) Stock Exchange Bane
