^^^What I don't get is that you are visibly upset at the direction SS took when making this Apocalypse PF. But you still are gonna buy... because you don't trust SS to make another one. This is where as a collector you have to put your foot down if you're not happy and just bite the bullet and skip the purchase. Believe me, I know how hard that is when I had to pack up and ship back my paper weight Rhino Comi'... There comes a point that you have to stop whining, and just pass on something that you're gonna pay hundreds of dollars on and not be happy. This is the type of collector that Sideshow look at as a "cash cow", and you wonder why SS treats us like "Mikey"...just sculpt it they'll buy anything...

I had to do the same with my Rhino Com and I was not happy about it either. My wife see almost visibly upset when I said I was sending it back. That sculpt was a home run.

Bro' sending Rhino (for the extreme light weight) back just killed my whole display theme that I had in mind. I won't hesitate to send this Apocalypse back either if it comes with any flaws, or anything that I warrant not worthy of the price that I paid for him.

This is how we all should deal with Sideshow. They have to do better!
I know Rhino has a great sculpt but it just feels very cheap and not worthy what they asked for it.

Well they have never done well on the product description page of revealing details. If my Rhino had been without issues, I would have kept it. The weight was a non issue for me honestly.

If I'm honest I really like this piece & I'll buy it as long as it isn't more than the G.Hulk PF but hey were all entitled to our opinions. Not that many people seemed to like the Green Lantern PF but I bought it because I liked it. Not many see my collection other than me so I'm not worried who likes it or not. To call me sheep for liking this is pretty lame

I know they have customers all over the world that will pay, but as a business model it costs tens of thousands of dollars more to make a new customer than it does to Keep existing customers. Just something that SS should consider

All you have to do is look at it, if you read my post on the previous page I've listed the lack of additional detail and accessories as compared to the GH PF. For someone to think that just based on it's vertical height alone, that two figures should be charged the same without having the same level of craftsman/workmanship is ridiculous. For instance everyone is talking about the crazy price of the new Conan PF, but to be honest I can understand the cost. The Apocalypse doesn't even have a morel than basic base, no mixed media and the paint job is nice but nothing spectacular. Just look at the detail of the character (Conan PF), his weapons and the damn base alone - but charging GH prices would be a straight punk off to it's existing customers.

I pass up on a lot of characters I actually want, such as Bats & Supes PFs, because I don't usually like mixed media, & to me they are not up to snuff. BUT, I do KNOW that both these A characters will be made many more times in the nearer future. So I pass, & can wait patiently, & don't bash SS, nor the sculpts, nor the fans.

Same goes with Skaar & Gladiator Hulk. I passed on both, because I never liked the concept of a Hulk incarnation needing any silly, primitive weapons, regardless of the arc/ storyline. He's the Hulk for christ's sake(!), & Hulk is my favorite character going back as a kid. BUT, both are great sculpts, with plenty detail, size & scope, & again, I never bash them, SS, or the collectors who purchase them. I can wait for a fully sculpted, 1/4 scale modern version Hulk, which, with an A character, will surely come in the future.

But this may not be the case with a Rhino, or Apocalypse, being that these are B characters, & maybe the only versions SS ever produce. And that's why I'm so disappointed. SS should have absolutely blown this very sought after, long awaited character out of the water. All they really did was blow it, & now they'll add a raping price to the whole deal.

I'm not saying that anyone who buys this is off. What I am saying is that this has been a sought after piece for many collectors for a very long time, myself included, & Sideshow knows it. Hence they can throw anything out there, at any price, & people will gobble it up, & they have. In essence, too many are settling for way too less, for paying so much more, & insanely justifying it?!.

Now, Sideshow knowing the extreme anticipation by collectors for this character should have done him way more justice, & ourselves. Instead, I feel they did the bare minimum, with a fairly generic pose, lacking many details, with a relatively flat paint job.

And lets face it, I don't see them making another anytime soon, so this was it! And no, I'm not trying to piss on anybodies shoes, as I criticized the Rhino comi as well, & yes I bought it. Why? Because, again, I don't see them making another anytime soon, & he is an essential character for the Spidey rogues gallery. But Sideshow making it in fiberglass, & passing it off as this grand improvement was a joke, & an insult. And for the morons who defended the fiberglass fiasco, by arguing that better details were achieved???!!! A ****ing joke!!!! All you have to do is compare the Rhino head (polystone) to the cheapened fiberglass body.

So there you have it, again. And the worst part of all this for me? Is that I am probably going to get it anyways, cause I really don't trust SS to do a better one down the line, if ever. But, I ain't very happy about it.
