I think Slattern piece will pair up really well with GD! Like GD(descending to the depths of the Pacific) is coming upon Slattern as he turns his head towards Gipsy.

Its the only way to justify the awkward pose Sideshow chose for Gipsy.

Alright infractions handed out. If you don't like what someone has to say then place them on ignore or control yourself in ignoring them. :)

He comes in here, stirs up this whole mess of bull**** and I get an infraction for calling him out on it?

You've got to be kidding me. What a joke.

He's joking around being a goof. You all are taking it way too seriously and started calling names. So the infractions handed out have been earned.

Durn, all my negative comments about the statue were removed. I respect your authority Superbeagle. ;)

But I will say this. I was so pumped for this line, and I still hope I can win the full set with the SS contest, but there are quite a few issues with Gipsy that caused me to be reticent with an order. Striker look so much more imposing and is not the hero mech of the film. Lack of an awesome weapon on this was a major misstep by Sideshow. The plasma caster at the very least should have been included. Maybe the sword, but I prefer the caster. Definitely not both, unless it was a switch out item. Many want lights, but I don't prefer them myself. I'm always afraid they will not last for many years.

That's all. Peace out. :wave

Seems like it's harder and harder to actually discuss these pieces. There isn't much to say anymore since most of me is full of fear what I say will be twisted or removed entirely. Maybe it's for the best.

Second. First one was for telling Butters to **** off.

But of course Butters got off free because he's a sweet little angel with only pure intentions. :rotfl

Just saw the movie today and really enjoyed it. I'm surprised that this statue doesn't have a switchout sword arm or plasma cannon.

I'm surprised by that to. I would imagine not many people had the slightest Idea how much people would enjoy this movie (hence the reason why stores failed to keep adequate stock of the Neca figures). I wonder if the reason why they left these out was because SS viewed these mechs during pre-production of the movie. Perhaps they were not fully aware of the different weapons the Jaegers contained during the prototype building of the statues. That would explain the lack of a sword for GD and the missle cannons in the chest for the Striker. :dunno

If you're going to create collectibles for a 200 million dollar movie, you better do your research and know what makes the product special i.e bad *** giant robots with amazing weaponry!! I'm almost sure Del Toro or someone on his creative team would want some sort of input on their licensed products. And seeing that Del Toro is a huge geek himself who LOVES this culture, I don't get why any of gipsys weapons weren't included let alone the approval of the pose.

I still like this piece, and hate complaining about something I could never create myself. But after feeling like a little kid again watching gipsy kick some serious ***, I feel the potential is somewhat wasted.

Most of the time, the work starts way before the movie hits

This may get lights afterall

I agree with Meter. GD had so much potential to be better. The lights may help though.

After looking at the GD and KH more more and more it almost as if GD's is more a defensive pose than offensive. Almost as though he's bracing himself for an attack or he's recovering from a punch. I would like to see both of them together facing each other. That may help with why SS chose to pose GD the way they did.

400.00 No light up features, swords, rockets, swap out hands. The pose is HORRIBLE.....every time I look at the statue for some reason GD looks like hes off balance and trying not to fall off the rocks. I thought guillermo del toro worked with sideshow hand in hand to bring the best statues possible??? I really was interested in these statues but now with Gipsy Danger the way he is, I'm gong to have to pass. A shame because Knifehead looked pretty BAD A**
