And have Sideshow called you idiotic, blind or deaf? No, and i don't think those comments are warranted on here. I don't know if they still do, but some people from Sideshow used to visit these pages. Imagine how you would feel if you worked for them and you logged on here to read that about yourself?
Be as angry as you want, but as Josh said, choose your words carefully.

Sideshow folks know exactly how many of us feel...If they dont they are:cuckoo:

I think you better get off your high-horse FE,I have only been a member of this forum for 6 months or so but in that time I have seen countless posts from you bashing SS....in fact, for the longest time,I thought that's all you came on here for.

You may not have used some of the words I have, but I've seen you post several sarcastic and negative comments while I've been here...anyway this is ridiculous, you'd think I'd sent a death threat or something,I'm not being dragged into this again

I was apologizing to Josh, nobody else and I also said I wanted to say no more on the matter,so why you feel you had to bring it up again is beyond me.

As far as I was concerned, the matter was finished :lecture

Alright gents lets move on. :) Let's keep this thread about the awesomeness that is to come from Weta.

Right? I know they've got a Hobbit license, but they've ground to a halt on LOTR stuff. Nothing past Sauron has been announced or put up for pre-order. Plus, a number of LOTR pieces from the maquette line have been lingering in stock for a long time now ...

... You just get a feeling. :(

Almost ever line has a few that take longer to sell. Even the SW line.

Why did i say something? Because you asked. Sadly, because of the lack of Sideshow products coming out, it's difficult to say something positive about something that doesn't exist ;)
You accuse me of constantly coming on here to bash Sideshow when that's all you've been doing? Re-read your posts, if anyone's been attacking them it's been you. I do not have a 'high horse', but i've been a member of this board since the very beginning and i make no apologies for speaking up when i see people making abusive and frankly rude comments about other people and Sideshow. If i come on here to 'bash Sideshow', then why do you think i take time to defend them as i am doing now?
As you say, the matter is finished, but i've only replied because i've had to.

i believe the josh has said................

I hope the link works, but on the intervieuw at the time of 2 minutes, the sideshow Tom Gillilant tells 9 karakters of the fellowship.
If the link does not works, look for sideshow lord of the rings comic con showcase 2011 on youtube.
Maybe my english isn't that good, but I realy heard 9 karakters.

I did a research on this a while ago on statueforum.
Hellboy helped me out on this as well. (Thanks again)
So this is what I came up with what's up above.

The 9 they're referring to are the actual "Fellowship."

Aragorn
Gandalf
Gimli
Legolas
Boromir
Frodo
Sam
Merry
Pippin

They're saying in addition to "the 9" they want to explore other realms. So what we should take from that video is that we will not only have a complete Fellowship of 9 at some point but a lot of secondary characters as well. In other words they have big plans and this line has a lot of life left in it.

This is what we had hoped for.
Also someone put a list on that forum of things that sideshow would bring to SDCC.
This was on it:
Eowyn and Lurtz maquette.
So I was dissapointed there was nothing at all over there of LOTR.

I don't know if somebody also has read it over there?

I try not too use bad language, that's not what I'm here for ;)
Cause you can't blame someone or something personal.
I'ts a way for communication, share your passion and hobby about related film art.

The thing is,in my country everything is aloud and eccept as normal.
I'm gladd we don't have a beeeep in our tv world.
It would be beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeping whole day on radio and TV.
That's why we don't have decency in this country.

They had big plans for the Disney PF line as well, and that now seems to be all but dead, with no official word.

What Sideshow, plan, expect and tell people at the time, can be very different to what happens in the end.

SS has very plainly stated that they will complete a Fellowship in this line. If they do not announce a Merry and Pip as part of their 'after SDCC LOTR/Hobbit announcement' or if they do not get made, then this particular forum would be pretty bleak.
There is time yet :lecture

I don't collect the maquette line myself, but I'd imagine there'll be a pretty serious backlash if they don't release M and P....just seems a bit pointless though,I mean, why go this far and quit before doing one last one(assuming they'd pair M and P together)???

That's why I'm with Dave on this one :)

Thanks everybody.
This maquette line is the reason why I starting collecting LOTR.
They are looking so good.
But I will be satisfied with what there is till this far.
But It seems I was right with my interpretation of what Sideshow said on this video.
I hope I'm still wrong ;)

Yeah on one hand this is so glaringly mismananged that you wonder if there isn't some spite involved from SS's part. But then you step back from that edge and think 1) maybe the likeness rights were difficult to get for Merry or Pippin for some reason (less likely), or 2) the license was yanked from them unexpectedly. I don't know how licensing works but if they can get yanked this is even more reason to complete the canonical list of characters ASAP.

To feel better consider that it has taken a decade to get a canonical set of Star Wars PFs from SS, so long that the early releases are already looking in need of replacement.

As nice as it is to see new characters from Weta I have to say I would prefer they redo some of the Fellowship as well, else you have an Eomer that looks better than a Boromir, etc. Weta has proven they can manage a line with their Hobbit releases so why not mix in some replacement repeats with some brand new characters.

collectibles companies will only continue to make a line if it sells. sideshow has proven time and time again that this is true. anyone thinking, believing or trusting a statement, comment or remark from anyone stating otherwise needs to reexamine their source. plans doesn't necessarily equate to actions. it only means they want to...for now.

The source is straight from the horses mouth, as it were. For a company to respond to the backlash on a failed LSB line, failed 1/6 figure line, failed (apparently) PF line by stating they will address the failure to provide the 9 in these lines by committing to completing them in the maquette range is a very dangerous game. :peace

So who thought Arwen was a smart choice then? How about both versions of the wraith? Clearly they had a plan and it wasn't considering the ME bread and butter. They released bad guys that might appeal to more than the ME crowd (DROM, Sauron, Wraith maquette, Witch King maquette) and gave us Frodo and Sam as 80% orcs themselves. Let's face it, happy doesn't sell in the collectibles world. Just consider their Dead line PFs and the mentality running this company. Does that person "take one for the team" by releasing Merry and Pippin in Fellowship type attire? I don't think so. The word is contempt, its mutual now.
