I had a ton of Predator comics when I was a kid and Big Game was one of my favorites. Have all the dark horse Predator omnibuses as well.

When I got into this hobby just last year I said I would only do comic pieces and by that i mean Marvel and DC but this thing to me is amazing. I really don't think I can resist. I knew if it happened it would be a Pred piece that would get me to break but I haven't been overly found of any of the previous pieces but this is awesome and Predator 2 holds a special place in my heart.

I am hoping it will be no more than $400.

I would love it to be $400 but I'm guessing more closer to $600 like the new Planet Hulk but I'm not familiar with MQ price's though because I'm always buying Comic PF's but aren't they more expensive than PF's ??

I'm going to get this Andy. Like you know I try to stick to just Comic PF's but I love Preds & I love 1/4 scale so this is a winner for me. I'm going to stick to my guns though & only buy one piece for each character so that rules out the new Captain America PF & Spidey CQ which sucks but atleast I won't get over loaded with PO's & that's when this hobby loses its fun personally.

Congrats Steve i wasnt going to order it if i'm being honest but its amazing how much a video can swing your decision. From some of the pics the pose of the Pred 2 looked rather awkward but from seeing the video he just looks awesome. I desperatly need a 1/4 Pred in my collection so the decision is made. 3 pre orders for me at this years Comic Com - which is a sight cheaper compared to last years one!

Congrats Steve i wasnt going to order it if i'm being honest but its amazing how much a video can swing your decision. From some of the pics the pose of the Pred 2 looked rather awkward but from seeing the video he just looks awesome. I desperatly need a 1/4 Pred in my collection so the decision is made. 3 pre orders for me at this years Comic Com - which is a sight cheaper compared to last years one!

My definites will be this, Apocalypse, Red Skull & Sinestro. Planet Hulk to if you include him.

I remember talking to you about the 1/4 HT Preds but there not going to touch this.

in regards to characters like Terminator or Batman TDK or Rambo, i've found the option of going for a figure the more satisfying...however, when it coems to a Predator character then i'd rather have one in maquette style than a figure...i think Predators look best in statue form!

Think you're best getting that listed now while there might still be a bit of interest in it.
Interest and price will inevitably drop but that rare piece could be worth a fortune in a few years
I was very happy with the price I got for mine.

I was very happy with the price I got for mine.

Was actually thinking about that. I plan to wait a couple years and If it is worth a lot then I might trade it off for an Anicom Scar.

Well If anyone had any doubts....I asked sideshow on twitter if the maquette was 1/4th?..and they said YES it's 1/4th scale!!!!! I'm so pumped for this piece! Can't wait to Pre-order!

Also people keep saying it will be $600 or more because it's a maquette. Are the other predator releases that were much cheaper also maquettes or is this going to be at a higher level of quality ? Just wondering as I am not understanding where this high price guess is coming from.

The smaller Predator statues in my opinion were rubbish from a concept, sculpt and finished quality standpoint.
The reason this will be expensive, like the Predator 1 and Wolf maquettes is that Predators are not simple statues at this scale. They have netting, something like 50 individual dreds, quills, weapons, switch out heads, complicated paint patterns. All that takes time and money to make and assemble. It's not gonna be $600. I think closer to double that but would like to be pleasantly surprised.

So it is at a higher level than the predator statutes currently for sale on SS website. Thanks for clearing that up guys.

Sadly its going to be so expensive I probably won't be able to order one but we'll see I guess.
