Re: Hot Toys Batman 1989: 1/6th scale Batmobile Collectible Vehicle - Specs & Pics

Anything anyone wants to see in particular? I can confirm the shell does have a sheet over it which is making the shell look shiny.

:gah::gah: no glossy shield :gah::gah:

Can you peel the film off the cocoon?

I am curious if the car is painted or just a semi-glossy plastic. Either way it looks great in your photos.

The film comes off pretty easy. I gave up half way because its just going to stay in the box. It has a nice flat finish and is fairly thick with foam on the inside so it fits nice and snug with no worries of scratching the body.

He's brave for stepping over it while filming. :panic:

Mine is going to its resting spot off the ground and that's where it's staying.

I am way too broke and way too clumsy to be messing around with this beast.

I can't tell if its painted but it has a fairly flat sheen to it. It doesn't look glossy until lights hit it and it catches all the lines of the car.

Yes, sorry foam.:slap Typing on an iPad sucks. I was so tempted to make a jelly mold out of it. Also the wheel covers are separate pieces glued onto the shell.

Ok cool. I ask because the final product looks more glossy/metallic than the matte/plastic prototype they had on display for two years. Do the covers over the machine guns snap on or do they just sit loosely on top the car? Thanks again.

The gun covers and the covers for the shin breakers all stay on with magnets and stay on fairly well. Here are some more pics!

The back of the tumbler is matched up with the back of the batmobile. The size difference isn't to crazy.

Sits loose in place with magnets.

4th pic down it almost seems like the 89 length is under scaled when compared to the Tumbler.

That's probably just because of the photo depth.

Still, both look actually cool together, like bros.

I should have done one from the other side too. It makes the tumbler look tiny. The bat pod just makes it past the front of the cockpit.:rotfl :rotfl

No problem! I'm just glad I can help.
