Re: NBA 2012-2013

The Lakers are so much better off without Dwight Coward.

This year is gonna be interesting, I could see them suprising a few people and still sneaking in the playoffs if Blake and Meeks can be the consistent 3 point threats they're supposed to be and Nash can stay injury free, beyond that, I already would bet heavy that Melo, and Randolph suit up in purple and gold in 2014 (wouldn't bet on Wade or Lebron leaving Miami and god knows no one wants Chris Bosh)

Re: NBA 2012-2013

be honest I prefer we don't make the playoffs and get a shot at this nice lottery.. ideally you mix in cheaper young actual talent with those free agent max deals in 2014 (no interest in melo)

Re: NBA 2012-2013

How long do we give it until the Rockets implode and that little ***** wants a trade? 2 years? Maybe?

Re: NBA 2012-2013

I really hope his problems follow him.. not sure if phil coulda kept the wheels on the buss either, however dantoni is a bit buffoonish.

its a great year to suck. hope we make the lottery vs some 1st round exit garbage

clippers look good

I would say Kevin McHale would have to be fired first. I'm gonna say McHale fired in 2 and Dwight wanting out in 3. This will happen when the Rockets get ousted out of the first round by either the Spurs, Thunder, or Clippers a few years in a row.

Re: NBA 2012-2013

Trying to think how the Nuggets could benefit from the Howard move like we did last year.

How about:

JaVale McGee and Andre Miller to the Lakers, Lakers send something (Gasol? and picks) to Houston, Houston sends Jeremy Lin and Omar Asik to Denver.

Starting lineup in Denver until Gallinari comes back.

Lawson
Lin
Chandler
Faried
Asik

I like McGee

It's weird, little depressed, yet at the same time glad the ****ers gone.

The laker alumni never embraced him, worthy, magic, shaq, ect... they were all very critical. Same with Kobe in his last ptch. He needs to tweak it. He wants to do it his way, wont work. tweak it and win multiples.. now he prolly wont win one.. loser.

You should be extremely happy he is gone. He's on the decline and now you put yourselves in position to persue Lebron, Wade, Bosh, Gay and get some decent picks. Just at the expense of 2013-2014 but people want to come to LA to play. Granted they may not want to play with Kobe but they may not have to.

And I don't think there is nobody else on the planet who makes me laugh like Javale does.

Re: NBA 2012-2013

Yeah, LA is blessed that just about anybody would want to come and play there as opposed to somewhere like Utah or Denver where players think people ride around on horses. What's holding LA back is Kobe. I don't think other big names really want to play with him. Especially younger players.

Re: NBA 2012-2013

Wasn't one of the reasons that Karl is gone is because he didn't play McGee as much as the front office wanted him to?

And McGee is a clown. Lot of talent, but just a knuckle head. I thought the front office here in Washington gave up on him a little too easily but Nene has provided some much needed professionalism to the Wizards.

And that $30 million that Howard left on the table? ESPN is reporting that if Howard becomes a Texas resident as expected, he'll only be leaving $9.3 million on the table, since Texas has no state income tax and California has the highest. Wow.

Re: NBA 2012-2013

Glad he's gone, don't need petulant children on the team. If people don't want to play with Kobe because his candor is exposing their mental ineptitude then I'm ok with that. If you play in LA you have to be mentally tough. There are expectations here not aspirations.

Re: NBA 2012-2013

He wants to be "the guy". He can do that in Houston but not in LA. That's one of the reasons he didn't want to go to Chicago was he wouldn't be "the guy over DRose.

Thats true about Karl and McGee's minutes.

I think Karl was mostly at fault for not playing Fournier early and often during the regular season. He only played in 38 games the whole season. Once Galinari went down he actually got playing time and showed that he should have been playing much more throughout the season. He held his own but showed his lack of experience in the playoffs. So 4 or 5 minutes here or there would have really prepared him better.

While McGee was a major reason Karl's gone I don't think the ownership would hesitate to ship out McGee for a decent player and fan draw like Lin.

So glad that never happened as I am perfectly happy with Noah. :lol

Can he be "the guy" though? no way they are giving him the ball over harden in any clutch situation. and he still blows at freethrows. i don't see him even being a better offensive option than parsons. he's still the 3rd option on Houston IMO.
