Will SS split up my last Flex Payment and the Shippinng?

i think they combine last flex and shipping. that's what most likely will happen with my spidey when he eventually shows up. man if both come in july, it's going to be a good month:yess:

Re: Hot Toys Batman 1989: 1/6th scale Batmobile Collectible Vehicle - Specs & Pics

I love upgrades..at least we know we get all the options in this version..
EXCEPT the cheap cardboard floorboard that Bats punched out with his fist!!!!!

LOL! Then where is the in-dash CD burner? It would be hilarious if HT includes the kid-size Batmobile the Penguin sat on for the Penguin figure as a base...

I don't believe so, I think they lump them into a single payment. For me that would be another $200...ouch but worth it...

BBTS sold 8 of these today. Let the run commence.

How do you determine this? I know people can check how many are in stock and such...

Get out of this thread hokie, you make me spend more money!

Oh...DarthAlias, I ordered there too, but got to drive about 35 miles to pick it up. I hope to go out that way and pay it in full and not worry about it. Im one hour from SS and got quoted retail plus tax plus $90 shipping....insane

Re: Hot Toys Batman 1989: 1/6th scale Batmobile Collectible Vehicle - Specs & Pics

It has those side panels that shoot the discs out at the Clown Gang and that big cylinder that comes out of the bottom and lifts it off the wheels. Those were "upgrades" for Batman Returns.

True, but I think I would prefer having a "combined" version than paying $600 for a 89 Batman version and then have to pay another $600 for the upgraded 92 Returns version (with additonal years of waiting). I think the fanbase will destroy HT stores and HQ if they went down that path...This is not like the 2 versions of T-800 DX...

Besides...just that he didn't use those features doesn't mean they didn't exist back in 89...:pfft:

Yeah, it's $200 for me too. That is no bueno. But a couple weeks of PB&J for lunch will be worth it when I come home and look at this bad boy. I hope my wife forgives this one.

And Snake Eyes
And The Rock for G.I. Joe
And Superman

Re: Hot Toys Batman 1989: 1/6th scale Batmobile Collectible Vehicle - Specs & Pics

looks like i have to add more to what i set aside for shipping. i have $50 so far

Re: Hot Toys Batman 1989: 1/6th scale Batmobile Collectible Vehicle - Specs & Pics

how did you get a quote. was it through online chat or submitting a shipping request?

Put it in your cart at Sideshow. The BBTS shipping quote is an estimate and will likely change when they have it in hand. Bottom link: it's expensive to ship!

Re: Hot Toys Batman 1989: 1/6th scale Batmobile Collectible Vehicle - Specs & Pics

tried it and i got 113 as well. didn't work when i ordered it last month. guess it's another good sign

Re: Hot Toys Batman 1989: 1/6th scale Batmobile Collectible Vehicle - Specs & Pics

I just don't know if I am. I absolutely should not given my existing CC bill and the fact that DX13 is around the corner, he's an expensive mofo and I'll unavoidably want multiples of him, no point trying to pretend otherwise. But at least with DX13 there won't be any customs worries.

When I got the Tumbler from Toys2 I didn't have to pay customs. :dunno He marked a lower value, can't remember how much or if he also marked as gift but it got through. Not sure if it would go differently with TIMCENT.

The other worry of course is that there's just no hiding this one. I got a few NECA figures the other day which can easily go unnoticed. Not so a giant ****ing batmobile that will need a real-life Powerloader to carry.
Yeah, I got my Tumbler through customs (from ebay also) without a problem, and thankfully it was QC free. This one though, I'm more concerned about, the sheer weight and size of the box makes me think I'm gonna get screwed either way. Marking it as gift only works if the customs officers are being lazy (they are, thankfully) And because of the size I'm more worried about returns than I normally would be...hmmm. And then there is the wife and credit card to consider.
I have a feeling this is gonna sell out and rocket in price in the next few weeks...

:lecture:exactly:

Right, this is totally the 89 version in my mind, even with the Returns "upgrades". Cosmetically, there is nothing about i's "buttoned-up" appearance (all panels and features closed) that contradicts the 1989 version..., but it doesn't match with the button-up version of the Returns car. In Returns, the paint is a glossier, deep black, the hubcaps are black with silver bat-center caps (not gunmetal), and there are windshield wipers.

Besides, it's not the Returns version unless it can Batmissle :nana:

The real one....

It's "boxy".

The way the shadows fall in that shot really obscure the part where the rear fender meets the main body. It flows more smoothly into it rather than abruptly change in the angle.

Not to go all T7 about it (there's no way am I breaking out the ruler and drawing lines), because this has already been discussed ad naseum regarding this HT model, but on the real car that rear fender really is curvy....much curvier than the first prototype and these latest pics.

It's just strange to me that HT would increase the curviness of the fenders on the "2.0" backstage prototype...an acknowledgement that they could do better, and then revert back to the harder edges in these later shots.

Unless of course these new photos with the box don't show the final Batmobile at all, just the same one we've always been seeing pictures of for the past year+.
