Hot Toys – MMS204 - The 1/6th scale ED-209 Collectible

Just remembered another of ED-209's lines that doesn't appear to be included going by the specs - "You are illegally parked on private property. You have 20 seconds to move your vehicle"

One of my favs.

Man...I can't wait to buy this thing, I'm holding out as long as I can. I wanna hear some more about the dome at least.

Using a Bluray source, I have isolated the ED-209 sound effects and recorded them all. ALL other sounds are absent from this isolated channel, and the resulting wav files are great. I also created a few custom loops; A 'patrol mode', in which I began with the power-up sounds blended with the low electrical 'hum' sound, then added walking sounds and tracking/targeting sounds. The final result sounds like ED-209 powers up and walks around in a square pattern, pausing to turn, while at the same time moving his upper body and gun arms, scanning the area for targets. He then powers down at the end.
I'm experimenting with other custom mixes, using all original and isolated effects.

I only hope that Hot Toys has isolated the effects like I did, as opposed to simply using untouched clips from the film, which would include human voices, music, etc.

The animation on the second GIF is just incredible, looks so heavy and clunky.

Would you be able to isolate the sound of Robocop's walk? He has a similar kind of background hum to ED-209 together with the mechanical sounds and the footsteps. I don't see it listed in the HT specs.

Sure, I can try. I can't make any promises though; As I listened to the different channels, I found that some of ED-209's vocal lines are blended with music on the same channel, and can't be isolated.
I'll check Robo and see if the sound of his walk is discreet, along with some other sounds.

UPDATE: Good news, I was able to extract a few perfect isolated sounds.
Walking, thigh-holster opening and closing, gun shooting, power hum, computer interface spike extending, etc.

Thing I always liked about ED was that even back then, it seemed like a feasible design and not too futuristic. It's something I can believe could be deployed someday, which isn't true of a lot of other concepts.

As someone who is still fairly green when it comes to 1/6 figures, I was thrilled when I found out there was a figure produced by Saturday Toys that looks like D*ck Jones. It would be a perfect compliment to the ED-209.

The only problem is I can't find the movie accurate gray suit Jones, only the black suit one. Is the gray suit Jones that rare?
