Changing the pistons over only took me a couple of minutes to complete using a pair of micro diagonal pliers. The steel pins aren't glued in. It's a simple matter of carefully levering the base of the pistons upwards until you expose enough of the metal pin to grip and pull out. No need for any great force to be applied during the process. Be careful and take your time.

Better shots later.

I missed the delivery on this piece today:gah:

I will pick it up tommorrow, I'm setting my alarm clock early tonight:lol

All the parts are electroplated chrome. You can safely wipe away the weathering with nail polish remover or thinner if you don't like the look of it. Only takes a minute.

Thanks for the tip! Most likey one of the first things I will be doing before I put it in the Detolf!

Thank you for posting those pics, I was getting awfully tired of repeating that the paint apps on the legs are just sitting over top of chrome. God people are whiny as hell. If a little bit of easily removable paint is something that ruins a figure as unique as this, then regardless of rudeness, I have to say it: you're a shortsighted idiot, how often does a super articulated, completely electroplated endoskeleton come along?! "but oh no, a part on the lower leg has some paint - I'll pass" lol, okay...have fun waiting another 8-10 years for the next similar offering to come out, which will also disappoint you in some way.

Excellent. I may do that one day. Or I might just leave it but good to know it can be done.

Was there an exclusive of this?

If so I'm guessing the ones still on pre order are non exclusive?

Anyone had a non exclusive from Sideshow yet?

Standard hasn't shipped yet, as far as I know. I'm in the same boat as you, still waiting. Order placed on the 7th. Rather annoying actually, considering shipping date says May yet May is almost over.

:lol

Although, that chrome job seems to be a complaint as well. :gah:

I think I'm gonna get a second reg in the near future, I never usually do that.

My regular edition fig shipped out yesterday from a canadian retailer, so hot toys has definitely sent out some regular editions...Shouldn't be too long now folks :)

I tryed today to change the collar pistons...no luck i went up damaging the pistons luckely the figure is a bit battledamaged so it isnt noticeble.
The cables where easy to adjust ..on top of the arms are pins where the cables goes in the pins are lose so you can easely pull them out and adjust the cables.

Thanks a lot for posting this! I already have this figure on order and this was the only real let down for me. Great to know it can be easily remedied.

Short sighted :rotfl actually no mate, for some of us over £300 is a hell of a lot of money and if I'm spending that kind of cash I don't want to look at something and be even a little disapointed. As for it not coming along for another 8-10 years, erm sorry, but isn't Enterbay releasing one? and I for one believe HTs will be doing at least another one, maybe battle damaged varient, as they will now have expensive moulds and will want maximum return.
And yes I do find you a little rude, but then I don't judge people, so it does not bother me :)

My point is: that the issue you have with this figure is very minor, and easily remedied, furthermore, any other figure is going to have some other comparable "issues", that in all likelihood, will be a bigger problem than this one.
I hope EB does come out with a superior endo, but I have my doubts. Time will tell. This piece is the first and only poseable endo that I've ever considered buying, which speaks volumes about how crappy most of the options have been over the years, hence my 8-10 year comment.

You can expect perfection in return for your money, but super high expectations are just begging to be let down. For the cash, (while not a small amount) I think we're getting a very good item in return.

I got my regular from Cornerstore about a week and a half ago and they are supplied by Sideshow.
