As I said in the thread of 'which other characters you want for the Mythos line', Luke would be a great Mythos character if the statue is inspired to that moment in EPVI when he is alone in a cave, bulding his own lightsaber. It's a scene that has been deleted from most releases and it's a great scene, very evocative. Remember that the Mythos line explores the characters so Luke HAS a Backstory: maybe not in EPIV, but between EPV and EPVI he has done a lot of things too.

Anyway, I agree with you on Nihilus, Sion, Traya, Revan and the KOTOR characters.

I have no idea why he didn't put that scene back in after all the crap he's put in the movies. It was one of very few real "Jedi" moments in the OT.

The thing with the mythos line is that it's gaps that are untold story's, left to our imagination. A mature aged Luke pondering his past would be cool. I mean who say's the mythos has to come from the past. Why not the future? :wink1:

Funny enough, I love the OT but I'm not that big on the idea of Luke as a Mythos. He has no backstory. For the EU stuff it may be somewhat interesting but I cant see much more than Jedi robes.

i like the more creative charcters for his line. This is a great line to tell some backstory. I want Bossk, Boushh, grievous, fortuna, Oola, Xizor, greedo. Imperial cadet Solo. Malgus. Nihilus. O the possibilities!

Old man Luke pearing out at the twin suns of Tatooine.

I think you've nailed it

Standing on that slope looking out into the distance, maybe even a scar or two with a heavy beard and cloak.... :wink1:

Yeah there is plenty you can do with Luke in his later years or even in the years between ANW and ESB or ESB and ROTJ. But I like the idea of a slightly older Luke. Not sure about the Tatooine idea as I want a more imaginaive base then just more sand. But I would Love to see what SS would do with it.

I would not want them to make him too old as I would want it to be easily recognizable as Mark Hamil

Something as basic as the photo below but with much more SS flair and more bad *** would be fine with me. Something Like a Jedi robe perhaps an alien like arm on the ground (harken back to Obi wan). I don't know. I am no artist. Leave it up to SSC for all the cool stuff.

Of course I could go for a calmer pose also. I just want it to look like Luke and tell a sweet story :)

If any character were to have another sand base this would be it. An old man Luke would be an instant buy for me. Either looking upward at the suns OR in a similar pose to Vaders, looking at his mech hand. Draw a parallel between the characters.

****! Now I want this.

This Mythos I really want to own out of all of them besides Obi. I'll wait til it comes in stock than i'll buy! Will go great next to Han Solo in Carbonite PF once I pick that up soon too.

The only issue is scale. Han being 1/4 and Fett being 1/5. It might look a little off, but if that doesn't bother you, these 2 characters would fit well together.

Won't bother me. Both would be next to my Tv and fit well. Will have to get ROTJ Boba PF soon to go next to Han in Carbonite PF but for now this will work for me.

Hi guys and gals,
I didnt read through 47 pages of material, but I have always been partial to this image for an excellent idea for a Luke Mythos statue.

From the cover of "Luke Skywalker and the Shadows of Mindor" novel.

I see what you are saying, with the PF.

But what I have purchased already is the Attakus Han in Carbonite. I specifically purchased this to display with this Boba Fett Mythos statue. It is in the correct scale at 1:5 and you can get it relatively cheap. I have a feeling it will start to increase in price, but I got mine about a month or so ago for 99.00 shipped. You can find them on the bay frequently.

I plan on proping it up on a black box and have it sit in the background behind Fett. I think it will look amazing.

Off topic as well, but relates to my previous post, but I have always thougth that an Attakus Tuskin Raider would look good with Obi Wan, but I have not pulled the trigger and bought this Attakus statue.

Nice idea... I may look into that.

I need something more.

To me, Lukes journey was all about maturing. Coming to terms with responsibility. From not being able to make his own choices to being in full control of his destiny despite the challenges.

It would be nice to have a piece where he is reflecting on that journey.

I cant get that image of an old man Luke in a black robe, looking at his mech hand in the same stance as the Vader Mythos out of my mind. Reflecting on his choices. What could have been. Whether he had done the right thing.

What an awesome parallel between the two characters. Both reflecting on what they had done and who they had become.

Do not get me wrong, I do like your idea. It sounds good..... I jsut would not want the SAME pose as the Vader. On a side note, I would like ANY Luke Mythos statue. PERIOD. If your idea of a statue came out, I would buy it. No question.

Also, to ME, a Mythos statue is just another side of a character. I think any version of a character that tells some adventure that is not shown in the films would be great.

I would also like a Leia in Boushh disguise, any Chewy, any Han.....
