Yup, there are a couple of co-op only missions too within those chapters - I have yet to play one of them......No separate side missions in the dlc -

Just about done - overall game time: 2 - 2 1/2 hrs at the most....story is pretty interesting - final level is quite cool. Very similar in tone to the ending of DS2 in some ways....

OMG, just finished Awakened, aka the 'real ending provided you pay for it!' They better do a DS4!!!!!

There was at least one new enemy, I believe - the shadow creatures from DS2 minus the shadow this time...

I do agree that the amt of reused level was lame, but I dug the story and loved the cliffhanger ending

So I went to buy Awakened, and all it let me do was see a trailer for it, or watch "Previously on Dead Space..."

I just bought it from the Live site. I'm not sure what was up with the store on the console.

Soooooooo just beat Awakened and Dead Space 4 is pretty much confirmed

My thoughts for the next game.

The original Black Marker found on Earth is the key to stopping the necro moons

Maybe they were waiting to see how the sales of the 3rd game did before releasing the DLC. I mean if they didnt want to go on with a 4th they could have left the ending of the 3rd and been done with the series. Awakened has changed all of that.

Naw man. It doesn't work like that. They said they are basically done with the series because of poor sales. Even tho it sold more than the other 2. So they made the dlc way before the game came out and were going to release it thinking they were going to have hit their sales mark. It's such a shame I loved these games. But I really can't see them just stopping. I want one on my ps4 when I get one! Even the IOS game was really good for a freeing phone game. I will play the dlc tonight tho. I heard its what I have been looking for.. More horror!

Yup. It was... okay. The "boss" levels were dull, and just more re-used stuff.

I honestly couldn't even pick out the new enemy.

One of my fav series this gen. I was discouraged about DS3 from reviews so I held off from buying it on release. When I bought Simcity they gave me $20 off an EA game coupon so I was like what the hell and bought it for $20 bux. I loved every minute of it and pray this is not the end of the series.

Er, it didn't get any bad reviews. The lowest was 7. 7 is two marks above average. So it got good reviews.

For some reason people see anything below 8 as a bad review.

I always felt the game was as good as Dead Space 2 (never completed DS1, will get to it one day). Now I am pumped for the DLC!
