The original one or the repaints? Look I'm all up for Sideshow to step up their QC but lately, it left far below satisfactory.
I love the green Com but the paint apps on that piece were sub par IMHO. The sculpt looks great though.
I have to agree. It's almost odd how SSC has us in a panic when it comes to QC on most of their female statues.
This is totally true, but most of their newer costumes have been some how incorporated parts of he movie costumes. Caps new costume in the comics has a lot of the TFA costume in it. Spiderman on the other hand has to be a classic... That is just the way t is.
It can be Classic Spidey for a new 1/4 and as long as the pose is different owners of the old one will be ok. I have the Spidey Com and even still when a new 1/4 pops up I'll buy it as long as it's different. It can also be the same costume, but different artistic style.
Not to piss on everyone's koolaid.

True, a potential problem.
It just depends on execution. If the revisit is solid it's not as much reason to go back for the old one unless the new one has quality issues, or you prefer the original's sculpt. If a new Cap came out, modern or classic, and it turned out decent I wouldn't think about the old one as great as it is. Maybe it won't be as great, but it'd still be a SSC 1/4 Cap.
Have you seen the new videos of the HulK Maq? The base is fantastic, teeth are amazing, and you can EVEN see his TONGUE behind his teeth.
You can also see the Thing's tongue behind his teeth. I mean the EX version, of course. It isn't noticeable unless you look very closely, but that makes it more of a nice detail.

Id say around the $800 mark for the regular and $1000+ for the Ex.

Well just got Wolverine at the beginning of the month & I just managed secure Thor for the end of this month. This is my next Grail piece which I'm going to try & get. After that the only Grail left to buy is Spidey
