Just picked up my City Hunter. Unfortunately gotta pick my gf up from class and take her shopping before I can open this bad boy up.

Got this guy this morning and it is awesome but I thought I would give it a few tweaks before he goes to the shelf.

First one was adding a touch more copper. Accurate or not, I wanted the copper to pop a little more, because I found the figure to be a little too dark for my liking. So a little dry brushing of copper on some areas.

Second was the the waist. I always thought the HT figures were lacking the "love handles" that seemed to be in the real costume. I noticed that there seemed to be a skin over the base body and sure enough once I tore the whole thing apart I found a seam and a little slop in the fit. So I opened up the seam and built up the waist line a little with masking tape. Then the fun part of stretching the skin back over the mod. Lots of heat and heavy handed work, I got it stretched and re glued.

These are the results.

looks really good !! thinking of the same thing when I get this guy...:wink1:

Wow Robbie, love the gut! Can you speak a bit more about that? I would love to do that, but got afraid when I read "when I tore the whole thing apart."

What exactly did you do to "tear it apart"?

Copper dry brush looks great too. I might consider doing this since it's pretty simple.

Dismantle sound better? :wink1:

You have to do a full dismantle to get to the body. The only thing that got damaged in the process is the ties on some of the armor. They are glued and so they a tricky to get apart. You also have to break the glue on the torso skin to get it apart. The good thing is HT cast it with only one seam on the left side instead of the double seams most rubber torsos have. I wouldn't say this is a hard mod, but it definitely is not for the weak of heart. You have to be able to get in there and push and pull the figure.

^ excellent engineering! i never knew that those pred figures had skin like human rubber bodies. so that's how they hid all screws.

Got my P2 last night!! so awesome, only complaint is the left armnot being held as secure as id like but thats because of the switch out option, very minor gripe. Cant wait to get off work and play with it more
