Re: NBA 2012-2013

So it's pretty obvious that what Lakers needed was for me to go to a game. 2-0 since I went to a game and The Lakers are playing team ball, coincidence? I think not. :lol :yess:

Get your *** to more games!! :lol

I haven't seen the Lakers play much this season, since I'm a Dish subscriber and they didn't lock in the Time Warner Sportsnet deal. But boy oh boy did I like what I saw yesterday! If the Lakers can keep that formula for the rest of the season they can salvage what has been a dismal year thus far.

GO LAKERS.

So Kobe facilitates, Nash running without the ball, letting bigs play inside. Lakers start winning once they stop running D'Antoni's system, coincidence?

Re: NBA 2012-2013

Oh, I totally agree. But try telling that to Kobe.

The guys an ego maniac, he thinks he's the best player ever I'm sure, he's not even the best player of his era (Duncan) and he's not the best Laker (magic johnson), Shaq was the best player during his first 3 titles.

Re: NBA 2012-2013

I can see defenses adjusting to let Kobe get his points while gearing to stop the other players on the floor. Sure a 40 point game hurts, but when it comes on 30 or 35 shots, that ruins the flow of LA's offense.

And that's the question isn't it? Kobe is looking to cement himself as one of the greats individually (specifically, he would love to bypass Jordan in championships and points, so he could arguably be considered the best two guard ever). He knows he's less than a 1,000 points behind catching Wilt Chamberlain, and within striking distance of catching Jordan.

Correct and I was under the impression he was going into full T-Mac mode by saying "the hell with the team, I'm gonna get mine" - that's why I was pretty disappointed in the guy because that's one of the reason I could respect him because I thought he was about winning first. He was never like T-Mac or AI, which I thought made him special. But chucking 40 shots on a sinking ship ain't win first.

But if he adjusts his game to get his team back to respectability then my hats off to him...I'll give credit where credit's due...

hah, that's not a homer statement or anything :rotfl

I would say the same thing about Kobe but that would make me a homer too...oh well, i'll say it anyway...Kobe is the best player of his era.

Re: NBA 2012-2013

Chugging along in his 17th year and killing it. Hes amazing, appeciate him while he's here.

I like how all the Lakers won't make the playoff guys didn't respond to ironlungs or myself. I don't blame you, I woukdnt take that bet either.

Bring on the pelicans..

I think most guys at that level have giant egos and think they're the best. Goes with the territory. I think Kobe is very much like Jordan, more amazing is that Kobe still doing it 17 years later at that same level. Magic was the best laker leader, that's for sure. His career got short changed, while he was here it was magic. Also ill take a Shaq in his prime over Duncan.

Yeah okay, no matter what Kobe does Jordan > Kobe.

Agree Jordan is GOAT nobody can touch him, but Kobe is the closest to Mike :)

Since you are Spurs' fan of course you think Duncan > Kobe, but try to ask Lakers' fan I guarantee you will get a different answer. The truth is both are great players and deserved to be in the Top 10 greatest players of all time, whether who ranked higher is debatable.

I am sure we all have seen many list from many different sources, foxsports is one of them. I think it's a solid list of who the Top 10 are, the order is of course debatable except the #1 spot (MJ).

Re: NBA 2012-2013

lol Kobe barely cracks top 20 all-time PER (which everyone swears by):

https://www.basketball-reference.com/leaders/per_career.html

He's a coach killer, teammates don't respect him and he can't win without a center...

One of the greatest 1-on-1 offensive players ever...not top 10 imo...

Why I am not surprised, you think Gasol was the best Lakers' player during Lakers' last 2 championships :slap
You're just a hater, most basketball analyst would definitely put him in Top10, many even put him ahead of Duncan.

Shaq has admitted himself that Duncan is better then him, but you have no respect for Timmy or the Spurs so I didn't except any less from you.

I would have to say that you have to be one of the most argumentative people that I've every meet. Doesn't matter how one puts a comment you find some way to make it an argument.

Can't argue with that list.

Magic will always be at the top of my list for sentimental reasons. After all he led the Lakers to a Championship his rookie year, filling in for the injured Cap (another legend). That's something Jordan never did...come to think of it, no one did. Add to that his ability to dominate a game without scoring and he's my all time great.
