Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

I'd like to see it but the fact that it's a musical is the only thing keeping me away...

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

How's the violence, despite the rating?

It wasn't too bad. I wouldn't see it if you're only interested in it as a zombie action flick (this is no Resident Evil), but if you're concerned about taking somebody I would say there aren't many violent scenes. The scene where the main characters "meet" early in the film is probably the worst in terms of violence, and it really isn't that bad. Think Supernatural (cable TV) or milder.

Actually, I'm pro gore and violence. Not against it. :D

As much as I'm interested in the flick, the idea of a PG-13 zombie flick is a bit of a turn off. I want to see gore everywhere in a zombie flick.

That being said.....if it doesn't feel edited, or cheap, and uses it once in a while, in a way that's allowed for PG-13, I might be OK with it.

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

I liked Death Proof more then Planet Terror. It felt like a low, low, low budget movie, spliced together with another lower budget movie.

Planet Terror was great, but it felt like a decently budgeted Carpenter flick.

Death Proof was more authentic.

Apparently you've never seen a John Carpenter movie.

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

Yeah I might've rated it a bit high.

From what I've read most people seem to dislike it because there was too much "talking", which is why I really enjoyed it. Loved the character interaction and banter. The car chase revenge sequence was great too.

Aaaand time for the last Tarantino film on my list: Jackie Brown

One of the reasons I love that movie is because of the dialog.
It is a little drawn out, but thats what gives it the throwback feel. You watch classic movies today and you know many of them would never receive approval in todays short-attention-span world.... :monkey1

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

It was indeed. I don't know about that second part, but whatever. It's one of my personal favorites this year. And even better if you didn't know what to fully expect.

Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter 6/10. Some scenes were very well done. Loved the horse fight scene. This was a very strange movie though.
