Problem is electrical tape can get all funky after a bit. I wrapped my legs with Saran Wrap before putting the dx12 boots on. I have not noticed anything as yet After about 3 weeks but I am gonna remove them and wash them as described above and then put them back with the Saran Wrap as well to be on the safe"r" side

Hope it works, cos they look great.

This needs DX treatment for PERs and a better rubber suit than that awful stuff they used on this release...

Yes...I usually stay away from the whole rubber suit thing...usually more trouble than they're worth.
I think it would be nice if Hot Toys did the Nomex suit before it was painted black...loved the detail in that. I would rather see that, with improved materials, rather than another OC.

I always found it weird how the suit in th movie went from obviously being a solid hard body armor suit to suddenly flexible rubber as soon as he paints. I didn't get if there was supposed to be reason for this in the movie that I missed or if it was just because that's the way they made it.

And yeah, as much as it would be annoying seeing yet another version of this costume, I do agree it needs a proper update. A sorely missed opportunity with the toy fairs exclusive. They should do this with a better material, more flexible if possible, something that you can pose. And the new boot/shoe configuration, a short neck, and the newer belt they used for the dx12. And hopefully some more faceplates.

Yep! I truly believe HT will do this again- if not DX an upgraded 2.0 (yes I said it) release

Yeah, I'm not too fussed if its a dx or just a newer version, but I'd like a good upgrade, a definitive version.

Pers would be cool for this figure...and a shorter, more screen-accurate neck...They should also get a clue and just stop including capes at all with these figures, no one uses them anyway cuz they're always crap :lol Instead they could spend whatever it costs to produce the capes on accessories or something else. :lecture

Pers would be cool as long as it didn't end up with big wide eyes or silly looking. But if they could get it right then yeah, would be great. Funny thing is, if they realised that everyone makes custom capes they could just copy them and make something simple from velvet or rayon and I'm sure it would be a lot cheaper for them that messing about with the ones they currently use.

:exactly: I know! it's ironic that they can't figure that out.

Yeah it seems like a no-brainer, but I doubt they'll ever figure it out. At least it keeps the forum marketplace going with plenty of cape-makers :)

That is weird, I had the boots on for just 2 days and already got some little amount of residue on both. It wasn't noticeable until I shone some light on the boots. :(

I thought I heard tape can take off the matte flat finish on the suit?

Oh wow. Really? I use masking tape for removing dust on the suit. :slap Though I do it very carefully.

Well, until a satisfactory way of using the DX12 boots without the melting is devised, I used the Takara Boot tops. Didn't want to put any more $ into this and my TakBats was parts fodder anyway. Not as nice as the DX boots, but they're made of rubber, similar to the suit. Put the boots on and since yesterday there hasn't' been any weird reaction whatsoever (minus my own reaction to this obsessive behavior).
