Looks like we have a new "I see what you did there" meme.

Thanks.

Anyone that ordered through EB direct get their shipping notice yet? :panic: :impatient: :lol

I know Eamon did for sure, and I could have sworn i heard maybe one or two others did.

I honestly think that there may have been like one or two left over from their store and they decided to fulfill a couple online orders. Either that, or they rewarded the first few people that PO'd him off their site by shipping them before anybody else.

As I said a few times before, I ordered mine the day it went up, around 11 at night and all I got was an order confirmation. I tried emailing them to find out if it shipped and after about a week I got a message saying I needed to forward them my confirmation and they'd get back to me asap. I replied the moment I got the email with hopes of "catching them" while they were still online.

That was Monday...

well, at least if Timcent is shipping his next batch out, then that means we should be getting ours from Enterbay soon

I ordered from Timcent, but I empathize with you EB direct orders...the fact that etailers like timcent are pumping multiple waves of these out before EB takes care of their direct patrons is total bull****.

That is kind of a strange way to go about it. Im used to SS and them getting their stuff shipped out first before other retailers.

It is also strange how low quantity the supply is. All batches that arrived to the store sold out within hours!

Wonder what the run is on these then?

I believe yesterday was 300, today is 100. The Joker is sold out on their website & it was released in Aug if I remember correctly, looks they have far smaller production windows than HotToys!!

I don't think it's small production runs, I get the feeling EB sells as certain amounts come out of production rather than make many and then ship. From what I know, EB is still coming together as a company and may not have the resources to store and ship large mass quantities of figures this size at once and may have to go a few hundred here, a few there. They have no edition sizes so they can do whatever they want.

I didn't get shipping notice. I just got my order confirmation and an email from Enterbay saying when they expect to ship back then.

I have to agree with MarfMaster in that it's a bit crappy that Enterbay deal with their own direct order after others.

It's strange that they do that so I wonder what the reason could be.

Oh and seriously amazing pics by ally by the way!! :)

Sideshow supplied distributors before direct customers for a short time once, which was annoying and made no sense. I could understand with EB if some of these dealers were more convenient to supply direct from the factory rather than ship to wherever direct customer order stock goes out from and from there to dealers.

In scourig over stills and photos from T2 compari g to this figure and getting excited, I believe more than ever, Stan Winston was a talent like no other that probably deserves even more recognition than he gets. Other than the eye. and even that only jumps out at certain angles, it takes an effort to realize the Endo is makeup over Arnie's face, I can't believe what he pulled off and it's a shame that CGI has taken over because artists with such a skill will fade away. As much as CGI artists need skills, I think something like the T-800 makeup inspires more awe at what was achieved because you really have to be creative and skilled to figure out how to do that.

Maulfan, I don't know if you have the book The Winston Effect but it is also a great book that has many photos from the T2 movie that show the many makeup effects that Stan used in the movie. He was a great pioneer and will never be forgotten.

:lecture:goodpost::exactly: Indeed! I list him as one of the greats along with Tom Savini and Rick Baker. Those would be my top 3 favorite FX artists.

And Stan Winston seemed to be such a GREAT Guy! I met him one year at a comic con and he was super nice! (Although Im sure most of the time they will be), but he took some time of his to look through my portfolio and even signed one of my Predator drawings I did. Wont ever forget that time. I was upset to hear he passed suddenly like he did. Seemed too soon. Like he had more to contribute yet.
