There has been.......Billy Dee Williams will play Lando Calrissian according to screenwriter Michael Arndt who virtually confirmed it when he said he's in the bit he's wrote so far.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

I wonder how much the actors will be paid if they take the rolls. Didn't they relatively get the shaft for the originals?

These movies are so far off from now there will be casting rumors circulating from everyone who claims to have a stake in either the script writing process to the pre-production. And I can remember the craziness surrounding the run-up to Episode I....and the let down that followed. More Jar Jar anyone??? :thwak

With the amount of training time Hamill and Fisher may need to be able to play sword welding Jedi Knights i'd expect them to be announced early next year. If you remember it took McGregor and Christensen 6 months training (3 months basic training, 3 months to rehearse their duel) and they're much younger.

Entirely different though. The lightsaber fights in the PT were a completely different/faster style than those of the OT.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

So, we had the OT. Then came the PT. Have we figured out what to call the new ones? Is it ST for sequel trilogy?

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

I couldn't care less who the villain is. As long as it's fun as hell. :D
