Alright mine arrived, but it is either missing the white button-up shirt or SS removed it from production? :gah:

Anyone else confirm? :dunno

That aside, SS was able to produce the life-like skin tones that we saw soooo long ago at Comic Con; I am very happy with the piece beyond the shirt question.

i'm pretty sure that's suppose to be a white scarf around his neck. fallschirmjagers had a thing for scarfs of all kind..you should call SS it's there on their production pics of the PF on their site.

how green is the smock?! some pics please??

I am away from my house/statue; but look at the product photos, he wears a white shirt under the outer smock.

*** EDIT *** ah, scarf!!! I will have to check the box, I probably missed it! Doh!

As far as the green, it looks typical "ranger green" to me.

Don't ever remember seeing a button up shirt :dunno

ranger GREEN? that's disconcerting..it's suppose to be gray-green..any gray in that material?

Alright, now I am back in front of a real computer, let's try this -

First off, I don't collect much anymore but I HAVE been waiting eagerly for this PF since it was released; it absolutely blew me away at Comic Con when I first saw it. It was touted as the beginning of a new line of PFs that Sideshow would be producing, but we all now know that it isn't likely. I still held on to my order simply because the detail was just incredible and I really wanted to see if that could be maintained into production.

Honestly, I am quite pleased overall; let's just forget about my little "scarf" snafu! :rotfl

Sideshow DID IT! They were able to produce a PF with a new skin technique, I don't know if any other PFs have benefited from this or not; but it is VERY life-like in person! It takes a lot to impress me these days, and this is about as "wax figure-esque" as I have seen Sideshow do, major kudos to them! I have one small gripe, and that would be that the linked ammunition is nothing more than plastic, it sure would have been a nice touch to have been made from metal; but it's a small nit --- and after all these YEARS, I am genuinely happy with the piece.

Here are a few shots, iPhone quality; all out of natural light for today. The smock is definitely what I would call ranger green, but the weathering is there, I think that most will be quite pleased with it. I didn't take any pictures with the EX head, as I think I will be displaying him with the helmet on.

great! thanks bro! so i take it you 'found the scarf? the hands and head are spectacular as you say. smock too green for my nitpicking historical tastes but hey it does look like a keeper for me. how much of it did you have to put together regarding the pieces (hands/head etc.)?

Miguel

Ha, yeah I did! :rotfl :slap

The head(s) ship separate as does the rifle, scarf (of course!) and linked ammunition. The ammo can is permanent on the base.

does the belt and gear(holster, breadbag, canteen etc.) on it come attached out of the box?

Yep, surprisingly it does.

Oh, and I really hope that two years from now SS can give us at least something from the Allies!
