No. But mine unfortunately don't work at all. The blue lights light up, but the red ones don't turn on at all. I contacted SC for a replacement :impatient:

Anyone else have the same issue with only the blue lights working?

The first time I turned the lights on they worked great. Bright and the red lights blinked. Now they are dim and don't blink at all. Would SS replace this?

You can't go any smaller than 16x20 or it won't look right. That's the size I went with and it looks great! I'll post pics later.

I still need to stick the background on some foam board, but this will give you a general idea of how it looks at 16x20

To put the lights in the base I took off the rubber feet and undone he screws. I drilled the holes all along the indentations on the base then filed them down for a smooth finish (it took quite a while) I fit in battery operated lights(they fitted in perfectly)
I also glued in reflective foil to reflect the light out.
The only problem is it isn't easy to switch on and off. I plan to fit the switch into one of the indentations at the back and just drill out a discrete hole.

Oh really? That's odd, especially since the blue ones work. I submitted a request for replacement form, in hopes they would replace it. But in the mean time, I'm having a friend (licensed electrician) dismantle it and see if he can see what the problem is. Especially since I have switched out the batteries a few times.

Yes I have, it seems to be something to do with the eternal wiring. Hope it was just an error on mine, and not an abundance of others. I would hate for people to be in my position considering all the crap that was wrong with mine.

I think it is the wiring. Especially because the vane arrived in 2 pieces. The glue seemed to have just worn out so I think the wiring is a little messed up. I had to super glue it together. I didn't even realize that it wasn't supposed to be in 2 pieces until I looked in the manual. :slap

That looks really awesome. How does it look with the light off, though?

It actually doesn't look bad. Because I used a piece of red plastic on the underside to diffuse the light, when the lights are off you can still see the red tinge of the plastic.

I will post another picture of the lights being off when I get the chance.

Sorry to hear that, how are the lights? Are they operational at all? I am currently waiting now for my friend to swing by so we can solve the problem.
