I like this pairing. This will be huge for Disney think of the movies and theme park ideas from this. With there purchase of marvel and Lucas they acquired two crown jewels

I could see Mark Hamill as the mentor training a new Jedi Knight, putting him in the Qui-Gon/Old Obi-Wan position from the first installment of the previous trilogies. Kill Old Luke in Episode VII and bring back his ghost for VIII and IX. It would be fitting--and Jedi Luke dying could be powerful if handled correctly.

The Death of Luke...

Lucas selling his empire is pretty big news. Not Hurricane Sandy level but big for entertainment news.

I never would have bet on this.

It may not be "devastating" news like Sandy, but it will be discussed long after Sandy is a distant memory.

It can finally happen....

If episode 7 ends up being rubbish, I don't think the franchise gets much worse, it's not like the prequel trilogy are shining pearls. But, if it's a homerun, then the franchise benefits big, so I can't really see a downside to this.

So has Lucas redeemed himself for "ruining" the movies by giving up control

I think Lucas wants to sit back and enjoy hearing people ***** about someone else screwing up Star Wars. :lol

Either way hes pocketing 2 bil cash and getting 2 bil in Disney stocks which puts him in with the the top of the Disney shareholders. Time to retire, relax and let Disney start putting out some nice Star Wars **** that people have been demanding for years. :yess:

I heard at CVI that Clone Wars only has one more season after the current one anyway so hopefully it wont have a chance to go over there. I would think the show too dark for that channel and we'd get rotten episodes like that one where those kids got sick off of that contaminated space juice or something a couple seasons ago. YUCK!

Have you seen the new Tron: Uprising show? That show is surprisingly dark and serious when compared to the other programs on that network. Hell, even Clone Wars seems more kid-friendly!
