Since I made my TDK Batman with a mesh suit I wanted to tackle Old Snake sneaking suit, wich basically is the same system.

A mesh undersuit with armoured parts.
Those who have that figure knows that it can barely hold any pause and the suit looks like cheap vinyl.

I cut all the armour parts and repainted all the pieces.
I glued them to a mesh bodysuit. He's no able to hold much more pause than before.


Here's what the figure looked like before.

and here's what it looks like now.

He's on a Thor body with muscular thigh and custom calves.
Head was sculpted by Rocco and painted by me.

Wow amazing. Im very impresses with that result, the mesh suit works out very nicely. Can't wait for HT to get around to MGS4!

While the face sculpt isn't perfect it sure as hell looks like the in-game model at this angle!

Thanks man, it's good to finally be able to pause Old Snake, the medicom was a nightmare for that.

I also like the more slender look over the big buffed medicom figure.

What did you do to the original headsculpt? I had mine repainted to make it much better.

Well it seems obvious, I didn't used it.
I think the original headsculpt looks really bad tbh but to each is own

Looks good, specialy the 'weathering on the suit, the original comes out pure plastic, but was he realy eighty years old at this game

80, it's a bit exagerated don't you think

Sadly it seems that is the common trend on ssf.

This is just amazing! the fact you can move the arms and they will stay where you want them to. Also the head looks so much better and he has proper hands, just so much win!

it is simple great work. Much detail and love for the the MGS. And they do not rip you of for the hundrets of bucks. Do not know sometimes where the sense is from those maker of MGS toys. So what do you expect

Great job, Seb. I would love to see Hot Toys tackle Old Snake. The Medi figure was a disaster. What type of fabric suit did you use, by the way?

Two weeks until my retail version ships. From what I know about the figure, I can't say that I'm all that optimistic. The worst case scenario, is that I'll return REX and get a Tumbler instead. At least Hot Toys didn't sacrifice the turning of the front wheels for electronics - or some other piss-poor excuse like that
