I preordered mine directly from sideshow and the head is brown.

Mine arrived today(from hk) , all is well the head is purple as it should be and the cannon has it's ball joint . I absolutly love this figure, glad i made the investment. The amount of detail on him is outstanding and the prescene in a case is :O.

Consider yourself one of the lucky ones. Congrats.

These are the pictures SSC needs to see.

I really do think there's a batch of xeno heads that missed an entire stage of paint application.

Simply unacceptable.

It doesn't affect me since I didn't buy this figure, but I'm certainly holding out until I hear this has been resolved.

I think you are spot on it looks like there should be another stage of paint applied.I have to open mine now and check although i did get mine from China from Loonentoys not from Sideshow direct.

They are there, just at the back so you can't really see them from the front, they come pre-attatched.

No they don't extend, thats just the the name people gave it because the tongue extended in the films as im sure your aware?, the pred has ripped them fully extended out the aliens mouth.

this stinks...all that $$$ we payed and we get an unfinished product..haven't seen mine yet but it's direct from SSC so I'm pretty sure I got the same one...guess I'll find out on Monday when I get home...

I sure hope this gets resolved. I'm planning on picking this up but I don't want a defect at this price point.

Well thats good news. At least we know some people are getting correct heads from sideshow and its possible it can be an easy fix.

I think the orange looks OK but still, this should not have happened in the first place...bummer.

Ironically I prefer the brown-orange head over the normal one. A case could be made that as soon as the alien creatures die they change color, kinda like humans become completely cold as soon as they stop breathing. But for that to be applicable the entire body would have to be the same color, which in this case it is not.

I kind of like the Brown orange color myself but it just does not look right with the alien body besides it.....I actually think it would be awesome to have one purple and one brown for him to hold 2 in his hand at once. Like he just got finished slaying to of them that were different colors. I almost wish they would have used the brown color instead of the purple but the purple kind of goes with the them better.

IMO a creative way of thinking and maybe even possible speaking of an "expanded universe" or "non-canon" fact, but in the end it IS a factory defect and we definately should let this HT and sideshow kno on all the channels. What we definately shouldn't do is hide this matter with selfmade reasons as excuses for a big QC issue.

Just my 2 cents.
