Fixed, was thinking like the HT DX Batmans! Would be awesome!

These are the sort of franchises HT go after. I cant understand why they dont seem to of got this one ? Maybe another company has the licence ?

I would like a full headsculpt though over face-plates, I think the face-plates work for Batman because it is more a mask then a helmet. Maybe 2 HS with one scowl & one smirk. I know you never see his face in the movie but I would like the option to display him with or without the helmet, just to nark off the comic book fan boys :lol

I assume this thread is being monitored by TPTB. I've seen nothing but good feedback about the film, people better be trying to get the rights right now.

Damn I loved this film. Cool simple, really liked dredd and anderson

With all those sucker punch and tron nonsense why not this?

It's because as I said earlier Carl Urban who was great in this is basically a nobody. While the movie was well done it needed a star to carry it. It's really too bad.

While urban was great, the role was really simple. Could have easily been some cash cow dude in there and the movie would have gotten proper buzz.

Loved it though refreshing to see the honesty and simplicity of a movie like this after all that avemgers crap type movies that were out there.

It even had me realizing the problem with taking an over conflated approach to a genre like this such as in rhe dark knight rises.

I'm glad they didn't just throw in huge name actors just to get more sales. This movie was very honest in how it was made and it turned out incredible.

It's a pity but I don't think the movie will make money. I'm a massive Dredd fan and although the movie is decent it's not hitting it's marks with the American audiences. I think the last hope will be DVD sales, and that will be a long shot. Only 12" Dredd figure we'll see is from ThreeA. But if I'm wrong, I will happily be so in this case.

Word? Did you see the Avengers,ASM,or DKR?,just curious. Am looking forward to checking this out soon. Good to see positive reviews.

Amazing Spider-Man was just a poor rehash of the first movie. Avengers and The Dark Knight Rises were average movies.

Dredd was a little better than them.

yeah, except that's what they did with the first movie. and the ego of the "big star" in that case went and decided he needed a big say in the design, script, direction, pretty much everything. and we saw how honest that turned out. urban was great. putting a big star in a movie just to sell it goes against what made this movie great. dredd has always been an underdog in the comic world in terms of exposure and popularity. it was fitting someone like urban was in the role.

and he's still not a nobody, ray. sorry. you're kinda wrong there.

I'd love a Stallone and Urban Dredd figure, I'd buy both.

and Karl urban is a nobody now? gee, I wish i was a "nobody".:lol

C'mon guys ask your girlfriend or dad who Karl Urban is...

He's known to us because of what, a third string character in the Lord of the Rings? a non HARDCORE Lord of the Rings fan does not know or care about who Eomor is. Hell even I kind of forget what he was all about and i love those movies. And sure he was great as McCoy but since he was the guy doing an impression of Deforest Kelley everyone's just thinking about Deforrest Kelley.

Then what a totally forgettable five mins in Bourne, chronicals of Riddik... Xena warrior princess? Really?

I don't even like the avengers amd sure evens and helms worth are about Karl urban level, but you have ruffelo, johansson, Downey jr, renner, Jackson... Star power really helped that movie become a success.

I mean hey, I like the guy but let's be honest here playing small parts in geek movies, even really popular and with widespread exposure geek movies does not make you a household name.

i just asked my girlfriend. and my dad. they both know who he is :dunno

sometimes it serves you better just to admit you're wrong :wave

Im not even close to wrong. Stars in the geek world do not make stars. Christian bale, Downey jr those guys basically carried those franchises up and running off the ground (with a little help from neeson and bridges)

Dredd was not quite as good as those but it was good.

Jackman didn't carry x men no, but Patrick Stewart helped. Now jackman carries x men all by himself and is a mega star.

The only example I can think of a comic movie that did well with a then nobody star was Gerard butler in 300. It made him a star but he was a nobody going into it. 300 had no more reason to become a hit than Dredd but I do think it was marketed better.

Dredd will become a cult classic. It even has that feel to it, like escape from new York or robocop.
